"This was an amazing hotel in an absolutely stunning locale. The staff knew who I was as soon as I walked in to check-in. They were friendly and spoke English, and were eager to tell me about the history of the hotel and to show me and my family around. Our stay was quiet and comfortable, and I recommend adding their excellent breakfast. Should the chance arise, I will absolutely stay again and I wholeheartedly recommend. The only caveat I would add is that parking is a little inconvenient, and it is hard to find the hotel if you are driving into town. That being said, it is not the hotel's fault, but the unique set up of Santillana del Mar, which is not a town that is conducive to driving. I would like to thank Casa del Marques for an excellent stay, and we hope to see you all again! "

"This is an excellent property in the Picos de Europa park. The best reason to book this hotel are the hot springs. You get one 40 minute session per night which is very relaxing after a day of hiking. These are natural hot springs flowing from the outside, with many different water massage areas, as well as a sauna, steam room, onsen, whirlpool and cold rinsing pool. They also have along outdoor pool if you want to swim. The second reason is the location. You are between Fuente De and Poncebos. There is no better location to reach each of these in 1 hour, plus Potes, Sotres and Bulnes. Covadonga lakes are another 30 min, but beware private cars cannot go to Covadonga. You need to leave your car at a parking lot and they have taxis to take you the rest of the way. Besides location and hot springs, the hotel is very good, comfortable bed, excellent staff and great breakfast. They don’t have a coffee/tea kettle in the room. You need to buy that at the bar, but the waiter brought it all the way to my room. I would only say that they need to completely renovate the bathrooms, they are very old"
