"We really loved our stay at The Sands. The staff were fabulous, the hotel was immaculate and it was all really well thought-out with everything you could need in one place. We would definitely come back to The Sands. The only area that could possibly be improved was the breakfast. Sometimes food - particularly fruit and yoghurt was left uncovered, which attracted flies and put me off eating there."

"c'est simple cet hôtel est un des meilleurs hôtels que j'ai pu faire dans ma vie. Le personnel est agréable aux petits soins pour n'importe quoi Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir être dans une des villas avec piscine privée. Un véritable bonheur, propre/calme Chaque jour était meilleur que le précédent. Si je peux je reviens dans cet hôtel l'année prochaine"

"The hotel very good location beautiful front of the beach. The hotel room very clean and modern they are clean the rooms every day and they are gives a water unlimited every day. The staff are so friendly polite and very helpful for everything you want.Also the fitness are 24 hours they are have enough of equipment for gym areas.They are amazing breakfast every staffs at the restaurant are so helpful and polite friendly excellent service. Exceptional hotel."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Merlin - in fact we are still here as we extended our stay with the hotel because we decided we didn’t need to go anywhere else for a truly magical and relaxing stay. We feel immersed in nature - surrounded by incredibly beautiful trees and we saw a slow loris during our night tour! The pools are so lush with vegetation all around them - we spent hours just milling around in what felt like a jungle pool, complete with waterfalls! The staff are all so lovely and super attentive, but with the most relaxed and easy going manner. I found myself quite envious of the people who work here - they honestly seem to be very happy in their work and well looked after. We didn’t go all inclusive and slightly regret that, as it wasn’t a lot more on top and means that, even if you only eat here half the time, it will probably be worth it. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back! Thank you so much everyone at Merlin - we will see you again as soon as possible! 😊"

"Lovely resort right on the beach at the south end of Khao Lak. The rooms are older but well maintained, and comfortable with lots of space, including huge bathrooms. I loved the beautiful grounds and get-away-from-it-all vibe of the property. My room rate included the buffet breakfast, which had a large variety of western and Asian choices along with an egg station/omelet bar. Nice environmentally friendly touch with the glass water bottles in the rooms too. Cheers."

"This was our second visit to this wonderful resort hotel and we were treated as family returning home, on our arrival. The manager Sali was so genuinely happy to see us back, as were all the staff from reception to room cleaners and gardeners. The peace and quiet and tranquility of this place is amazing, even when there are a lot of guests, you feel you are on your own with nature. A truly wonderful and beautiful place. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs to order, and cooked properly. Views around the grounds, especially around the lagoon gave you a feeling in the jungle with monitor lizards roaming around the grounds freely. As for the beachfront, you could not get a more photogenic view, we never tired of the views in our 20 days there. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks to all the staff for their love and attention."
