"This place is magical. While the main building (with an excellent restaurant) is stately and unique, we stayed at The Brambles in a redwood grove. "This is an older but nicely remodeled home. Beautiful views even with a rainy weekend. The lake laps right up to the edge of the property. Very close to town for entertainment but far enough away that you can get alone time. We would make 2 very strong recos. Put up curtains or blinds in the living room; it's disconcerting that the neighbors can see right in. Also, leave an instruction sheet for the TV; it was very challenging trying to figure out how the remote worked and what options were...

"Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood - we throughly enjoyed our stay! From catfishing, swimming, soaking up the sun & soaking in the hot tub to sitting by the fire pit, BBQing or simply watching various birds and enjoying all of the beauty nature has to offer at the lake. When the wind picked up or got too warm - my mom (91) could still enjoy the view from the living room through the big windows. Our host Steve, was very responsive & very kind - We look forward to coming back!!"
