Kayaks, paddleboards, and pontoon boats can be rented locally from Memorial Week-Thanksgiving. A discount may apply on pontoon boat rentals with your reservation confirmation.
Lake Lure is a man made lake that is drawn down 12 feet each winter season for maintenance. This will impact shorelines. Water will be back up to normal levels in mid April.

If you want a unique house on Lake Lure, this is your place! There is plenty of space for a decent sized group that you can hang out, but also have your space. The outdoor area is spot on with entertainment space! Our only issues we had were getting in the outside door code took at least 4 times of putting it in for it to actually work and the stove burners really didn't work. Other than that we would for sure come back to stay at the villa!

The exterior of the house, the pool and beach, were great. The interior of the house is not good for large group since there is not a large common area or large dining area. The stove has only one functioning burner; three bedrooms are extremely dark with inadequate lighting. Of the 6 bathrooms, there are only 3 showers. The house is in need of repair. I will not return nor recommend this house.

Luxury on the Lake
Except for poor response after several calls & texts about a broken microwave--they did not deliver a new one until Wednesday--we had a lovely time. The pool, beach, and lake kept the kids amused and the adults happy and relaxed. Plenty of parking, excellent beds, ample indoor space, and a well-equipped kitchen made everything easy and as advertised. We highly recommend.
