"The listing for this was incredibly misleading. Careful pictures to not show the connected cabins, and not specifically stating that the entire outside area is a shared space, was very disappointing to realize when we arrived. We had booked this place specifically to have a romantic weekend getaway in the woods, and it was the perfect weather to be outside, but a family of 4 had booked the other cabin and of course they would want to spread out and enjoy the outside. The quarters are so close, we ended up not being able to even leave our cabin without an awkward interaction. These cabins themselves are small too, so staying inside felt cramped and we had to have all the curtains closed to have any privacy from our unexpected roommates seated 10 feet from our huge glass door. Also the bathroom has mold in it and water damage from the extremely leaky shower and who knows if the hot tub was any good because we didn't get the opportunity to try it, but I think the kids had fun, good for them. Also, there is absolutely no cell phone service so make sure to download and save your map and access key code before you lose service, and if you arrive in busy season, make sure to plan for waiting in line in your car for about 2 hours to get into the road that leads to this cabin. Horrendous experience at this listing, I don't recommend this rental unless you need to book both cabins anyways."

"Be prepared to not find anyone at the office, but someone will show up once you call their number and leave a message. Very old mansion that needs much TLC. Staff once accessible, are very friendly and helpful. Canceling a reservation is very difficult, as they demand a 14 day notice. The cabin we were given had a lot of standard amenities, but just not enough and very small."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Kent and Kari’s cabin. It was exactly as described. It feels like you are very secluded, especially in the back by the fire pit but there is a road and neighbors( in case you don’t like isolation ). It is very quiet and you can’t hear road noise from inside. We enjoyed some wine and simply listening to the birds and wind blowing through the trees. My husband is a hot tub guy so he enjoyed it very much and I LOVED the sauna. It was a wonderful wind down to the day. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and things you might need to cook. The bed is probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on while vacationing. The bedding and pillows are also great. As a person with sleeping problems, this was fantastic! The bedroom is upstairs, and it’s a bit of a steep climb. I mention this in case you have mobility issues. The communication was also great with very helpful information to ensure you have the best time. We would love to stay at the nest again."

"The queen bed in the front room was horrible. When you lay down you go right to the center of the bed where it sinks in. All the other bed were good. We could not sleep on the bed so we tried to use the hide a bed in the living room but it is also broke. So I got no sleep all weekend which sucked when chasing 3 kids around. The wifi also did not work all weekend it kept saying connected with out internet. I believe this is a normal issues as they have a sign on the fridge telling you to call the internet company. I feel I should not have to spend my time on vacation trying to fix someone else's internet issues. I would recommend trying a different internet provider like star link. It also made it had as my kids could not watch anything at night as we had no cell service at the house. It also said it came with movies but all the DVD cases thay had been open had no dvd's in them and my daughter went through and put them back in the cases and some were not there. The hottub was also not clean and had dirt on the seats inside and most of the jets were not working well. We also tried to keep the house clean and we tried to sweep the floor but could find no dust pan. The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated. The outside area was amazing with the views and the water it was great. I did not like that there were no blankets in the house. If they get the bed and internet net fixed I would love to stay again."

"If you are wanting a cabin with a hot tub, dont go here. When we got to the cabin we checked the hot tub and the water looked nearly black. The hot tub clearly is not deep but you could not see the bottom… it has clearly bot been cleaned out in a VERY long time. The house itself is nice but when i’m booking somewhere with an amenity in the name, i want it to work and not be disgusting. I also mentioned the hosts about it and never got any responses back to my messages, not responsive whatsoever!"

"This place absolutely exceeded my expectations and I came in with high ones. I was traveling solo for work and needed a proper reset between weeks, and this little corner of Ashford delivered in every way.From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The space was immaculate, warm, and felt like a true home away from home, exactly what you want when you're on the road and craving something that isn't a hotel room.Being right on the doorstep of Mt. Rainier National Park was the ultimate bonus. I woke up, laced up my boots, and was inside the park within minutes. There's something deeply restorative about spending a few days in the mountains, and this place made it effortless.If you're looking for a solo getaway, whether for adventure, rest, or a little of both I can't recommend this place highly enough. I'm already thinking about coming back."
