"We enjoyed our stay here very much, the house is nice and roomy and well equipped. It’s in a private area with gate system which gives a very secure feeling although being in a sleepy village there wasn’t any cause for worry. parking space for 2 cars. We were glad of the airco in the dining area as temperatures got quite high in the afternoon/evening. "This house was just like staying with family. Everything was provided and the whole house was decorated for the Christmas season. The hosts could not have been nicer. They even brought us traditional Alsatian holiday cookies and gave many recommendations for Selestat and the surrounding villages. We didn’t want to leave!"

"Jean Paul was an amazing host who supplied us with lots of lovely apple juice and also really helped us when our car broke down. The house was lovely and had a BBQ which we didn't use but was always available. The village is very quaint with a very small shop for bread (and toothbrushes!). Being fairly remote you need a car but theres two large supermarkets about 5 mins away and Selestat offers lots of larger shops as well as good rain connections to Colmer, Basel and Strasbourg. "What an amazing place! So peaceful with a rural feel with the river running just behind the garden wall, yet only a short walk to the pretty village. Andlau has eating places and a wonderful boulangerie. It was such a pleasure to amble down in the morning to buy breakfast croissants! "We stayed for 1.5 weeks in this very pleasant cottage. It has a small kitchen on the ground floor, lounge and dining table on the first floor and a nice bedroom in the attic. The cottage is newly refurbished with new wooden floorboards and beams complementing the original 18th-century ones which gives it a nice atmosphere. The cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the vineyards and the dozens of well-marked trails that criss-cross the Alsace region, including the GR5 route. Barr serves well...

"We just returned today from a 5-day stay at Siebenfelsen. The host family was very hospitable and generally welcoming. The house is immaculately clean and lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. The street the house is on a two lovely Gasthäuser within walking distance and is only a short drive away from the main village of Elzach, which is just gorgeous. We highly recommend staying here and would love to be back again in the future."

"Terrasse envahie par les mauvaises herbes, 2 des chambres en mezzanine qui donnent sur la cuisine et le salon sans aucune aeration donc irrespirables quand il fait chaud, pas de détecteur de fumée, équipement de base non présent ( passoire, planche à découper...). A noter la proximité immédiate d'une ferme d'élevage et des inconvénients associés. Dommage, car la propriété et ses environs sont très agréables, avec la proximité d'un plan d'eau avec sa petite plage."
