"We booked this hotel prior to the change in ownership. Fortunately I was following them on FB as Expedia didn’t advise me. This could’ve been an issue with my esta and transportation to the hotel if I’d not known.
On arrival we had a resort fee to pay, we were aware of this however they tried to charge me for my stay aswell. Explained I’d paid Expedia, quickly resolved and assume this is due to the ownership change but it’s a panic I could’ve done without.
Wrist bands must be worn for pool and breakfast access. They explained they could be removed but we’d have to keep them and swap for new ones. This seemed a hassle and the bands were annoying in the hot climate. Surely a better system exists?
Hotel itself was clean/modern, no complaints with that. Staff were all pleasant. Some renovations going on that we weren’t advised of but didn’t cause any issues.
Breakfast was ideal, usual breakfast food and make your own Mickey waffles.
Location was brilliant, easily walkable to Disney though we decided to uber most of the time. Great shops/restaurants nearby and ideal for Angels and/or Ducks games.
The pool area was the only let down. Bag searches in place and a strict no outside food/drink policy. Water bottles were permitted but we didn’t know in advance so didn’t have any. Odd that bottles are allowed when they could contain absolutely anything. Bar drinks were allowed but the bar was inside the hotel. Hydration should be encouraged not behind a steep paywall."
