"The property is exactly as described, although I must add that the pictures do not do the location justice. The owner communicated frequently and well, and the local property manager is an absolute jewel in addition to being an incredible source of knowledge. The house is located on a windswept ridge overlooking the confluence of two valleys below. The view is exceptional, and gives the constant feeling of living in a postcard. "The house is in a gorgeous and tranquil setting with lovely views across the garden and valley beyond. There is a lovely big garden with a nice (unheated) pool. There were lots of kids toys available which was perfect for our 2 year old. There were bikes which we used to cycle the pretty local roads (which were quite hilly, but I liked that...!) The kitchen in the house had everything you needed and all the appliances worked well. There wasnt a lot of space in the kitchen and lots of the rooms...

"A pleasing mix of old and new, perfectly situated to take in the sights of the Auvergne - a quiet retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. The owners were lovely, and gave us quite a tour and history of the property and region, as well as fruit from the garden and delicious home-made jam. We came upon a little restaurant in the tiny nearby village of Maleville, Les Mets d'Olivia, apparently not yet well known, where we enjoyed an evening of African food and music - what a treat."

"From initial booking our contact with Camilla was very helpful. She answered our questions promptly and provided thorough information as our stay approached. The property was in a beautiful rural location but within 15 minutes of Caylus with bars and a small but well stocked supermarket. We loved the pool surrounded by lavender and views of the countryside. The house itself was clean and well equipped for our group of 6. The air conditioning was a real bonus with temperatures of 30 -38 degrees...

"Beautiful rustic place, with a lot of space to roam around in. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen / bbq as it was raining on the only days we were free to do that, it was late September / early October so not that surprising. We know the area well and there's lots to do, one of my favoutite areas of France."
