"This historic property has been lovingly refurbished into a modern day inn. There are clean,shared bathrooms. The outside porch and sitting areas overlook the lake with fabulous views. The owner was friendly and made home made muffins for breakfast. My only complaint is the noise from the motocyclists during the evening."

The hotel is a bit on the older side than I’m used to, but in a small town like Gilford, it matches the aesthetic. I’ve heard other options aren’t as great, so I will likely end up staying again next year. The staff are very attentive to your needs, though, and I had no other issues with my stay. "We stayed at the resort for three nights and had a very nice stay. Only recommendation is they should shampoo the carpets in the rooms or change to hard floors instead of carpet. The room had a musty odor. Also, if there are guests staying in a room above you it will be likely you will hear them walking around. "
