"My stay was amazing! We absolutely loved all of the staff. Kele, Sala, Mary, Titi, and everyone else I may have missed were all great. The Villa was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable and I was surprised that there were no bugs in the Villa. We enjoyed the volcanic mud bath, hiking, river tubing, and kayaking and Kava Ceremony. I hope to return and visit my new Fiji family soon. Bula Re!"

"We loved everything about Emaho Sekawa. I have never been at a resort where I remember almost every staff member’s names and they mine because it is such an intimate experience (thank you Mary, Rusi, Sala, Kele, Vika, Genevieve, Chantel, Tom, Illi and Tete!). Given absentee owners the entire resort is run by local villagers so you get to experience their preferred activities. Everything was peaceful, authentic, romantic, relaxing. With few exceptions everything was included including meals and minibar, and meals were excellent and based on that day’s availability in the market so lots of variety. Definitely try the volcanic mud pool, the kayaking, waterfall hike(s). Off estate, most of the activities are organized through friends of the staff so again more authentic and better priced (my deep sea fishing with Abi, who they have known for years, was much lower than the cost of what was being asked the following week when I was on the other island). Anything I would change? I hear they are putting in a spa, so that would be good because there is not much to do on the estate other than completely relax (but do try the cava ceremony with the staff!). Maybe some morning yoga looking out over the amazing ocean views!
Emaho is not for someone looking for a 500-person multi-activity all inclusive. But if you want the most friendly staff, complete relaxation, beautiful scenery, delicious food and true authenticity, you cannot find better. Probably our best holiday stay ever! Vinaka"
Absolute Beachfront Holiday Cottage with Private Saltwater Pool on Savusavu Bay
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay at the Beachfront cottage! The property is beautiful and the Host family were great to work with. They provided fresh bouquets of flowers and passion fruit in the cottage upon arrival. We slept about 150 ft from the ocean and could hear the peaceful beach sounds all night. There is about a 2 mile stretch of black sand beach and we didn't see another beach on the island that was nicer than the one we had right out our front door! We also did two different waterfall hikes and they were both within about 10 mins of the cottage. We had some trouble with our phone charging cables and we were able to borrow a wireless charger from our Host family until we could figure our problem. We loved the outdoor shower. We used the kayaks one day and paddled up and down the coast. We saw sea turtle pop his head up right in front of us. If you love the quiet, secluded, off the beaten path type of stay (we were about 20min from Savusavu), then this is the place for you!"
"This was my second time staying at Galaxy Hotel, and I really enjoyed my stay. The room was modern and up to date, which made it comfortable. The only issue we had was with the bathroom door, but it was promptly fixed. Overall, a pleasant experience once again.
"
"Very friendly staff, it’s not luxury but average linen and towels were very dirty not washed properly specially when they use the White towels . Bathroom needs a good cleanup and toilet as well. Need a proper forced shower specially when Water force was very low. Needs some improvements. Overall, I will give 2 .5 star thank you"
Pure Shores Resort, Lilypond Bure. Adults Only Villa, w/shared pool, BBQ, Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This bure is beautiful inside and out, is nestled into a very lush area with and only a five minute walk to beautiful Sekawa Bay. The pool is refreshing and delightful. At Sekawa Bay, I snorkeled, walked the beach, swam and kayaked (with lots of turtle sightings!!!) Aly is a wonderful host and I appreciate her picking me up and taking me to airport, introducing/driving me to all of the hotspots for shopping, including the grocery stores, market and meat shop (for the barbecue!) and taking me to a beautiful fresh water river for a swim. Aly also has great recommendations if you have any questions.
I was looking for a retreat so the distance from town was not a concern for me. There was no AC and it was a bit hot at night for me but I still give it 5/5. I hope to return to Lilypond Bure in the future. Thank you Aly & Gadget for your hospitality. "
