"This is a beautiful luxury resort. The service was top-notch but be prepared to pay premium price for food & drinks. We did receive an Expedia bonus of free buffet breakfast for 2 every morning but we had to explicitly request that the hotel honor this because it was not originally included; otherwise, this would've cost us $90/day (not a typo) including obligatory taxes & tip! Besides the pool, gym, and 2 restaurants in the hotel area, everything else is very far away: the beach, grocery store, movie theater, marina restaurants, Altos de Chavon area. You cannot walk there, you have to take a very slow-moving golf cart which was included. Cars go around you very fast and upset at all the golf carts on the road. We did not feel safe riding the golf carts at night."

There were three wonderful staff members who took such good care of us, Antonio, Humberto, and Anna — professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. But in my heart, there's a special place for Antonio. He is such an incredible human being. The kind of person whose kindness is real — not something put on for tips or approval. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone. He was just himself, and that was more than enough.Honestly, none of the staff ever made us feel like we were just guests they had to serve. They treated us with warmth, and we did our best to give that back. If you’re planning to stay here, remember something important: these are hard-working human beings. They deserve respect, not to be looked down on or treated like you’re above them. If you really want to enjoy your stay, make them feel good, too. "The house was really nice located very near minitas beach and the hotel. Golf cars worked perfect, the pool was great and the special mention goes for the people who work in the house 10/10.Looking forward to visit them next year. "

"Our experience at Villa Giraldez was exceptional. The property is beautifully decorated, perfect for our family of 8. The golf course view is amazing. A short drive to the beach club and the marina. The house staff, Ana and Esther were extra special, always working so hard to please us. Breakfast and lunch was always served with love. The house was always kept impecable. "
