"Had a very good weekend"

"My stay here was brief, just an overnight visit on a cross country road trip. I was surprised to find that the coffee maker only included instant coffee and tea bags. The remote for the TV was not user-friendly at all. The room was clean and I slept well."

"Great hotel, very quiet!!"

"From the check in to the check out everything was great. Staff very helpful, clean room."

"Better breakfast than expected. Comfortable bed. Quiet."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast and coffee were good. The staff got me clean towels quickly."

"Pool was not yet built"

"Clean spacious room with full refrigerator, electric top stove, plates and glasses, paper towels etc. room had two queen beds and a sofa bed. Super clean and reasonably priced."

"The staff was good. Breakfast was ok. Clean but lacking options. Room was large, clean but outdated. Loud fan and heater. Beds were comfortable and well made"

"Booked last minute due to a storm. Check in was perfectly smooth. Dude at the desk was friendly. Room was cozy and comfy. Its the mountains so you might see a critter like I did but that certainly doesn't take away from the room. My only issue is low water pressure in the shower. Painfully low. And although the bed was fine, I'd like to see an updated mattress. I'll definitely consider staying here again."

"I arrived at the Strater Hotel on 10/13 for a 4 night stay. My first impression was WOW this is beautiful! The decor, antiques, the furnishings and relics were amazing. Our room had a Queen Bed and a Twin and was a nice size for the two of us. (This was a girls trip). The bathroom was lacking in counter space but was ok. I am a severe allergy sufferer so dust is one of my worst enemies! By the second day that I was there I was in a full blown allergy attack. While I realize this is a very old...

"Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Easy check in"

"Property was conveniently located for us to get to train station and the local shopping dining. Only drawback was that the king size bed was wore out and uncomfortable. Needed replaced with a new bed."

"Everything about the General Palmer was perfect. The old world charm coupled with modern conviences. The hotel is so charming that it transports you back a century. The breakfast room is right off the enclosed porch that has tables for an intimate breakfast looking out into town. The hotel is clean, extremely comfortable with great beds and very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed here because we took the Durango / Silverton train which was right next door, very easy walking distance. Highly...

"My room was clean, front office staff great. Quiet hotel, plenty of parking. Great hot breakfast. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel in 4 months. I will stay here again in the future if I have the need to."

"Quisiera volver"

"It’s was a convenient, walkable location to the Narrow Gauge train and downtown. Breakfast was not included but was a good on-site option; however, service was slow. They offered free cookies but should have had other option for those that don’t like or allergic to nuts. But the cookies were the only free option even though bottled water said they were complimentary- it was only for “members”."
