The ladies at the desk were friendly and helpful. Our rooms didn't face the street, so traffic noise was not a problem. There was a gas station/convenience store adjacent that was convenient for fuel and snacks. It met our needs. Nothing fancy, but a fair price for a good room.

I had a great stay. The staff was extremely resposive to requests i made for more towels and toiletries. The hotel is in a very peaceful location. I was pleased with how quiet it was during my stay. The beds are comfy. I recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to get a hotel in La Grande, Oregon

Although this motel is older it was very clean and comfortable. The bed mattress was new and gave us a great night's sleep. New air conditioning gave us relief from the hot weather we were having during our stay. This motel was clean, safe and reasonably priced. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable, quiet

This is an old motel that has been updated. It is very quaint and quiet. My wife and I stayed here for one night while visiting friends. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was just what we needed for the night. My only issue is that the listing shows this property to be pet friendly and does not state if there is a fee or not. Upon arrival, we were advised there is a $25 pet fee. It would have been nice to know this in advance instead of having it sprung on us upon arrival.

The staff member who I checked in with was friendly and helpful. The property location is a bit away from downtown and the freeway, but is still next to a smaller highway, and occasionally louder vehicle engines were audible from inside the room. It is in a residential neighborhood, though right next to a gas station. I could hear louder sounds and showers in adjacent rooms. Although, there was a full moon on the night of my stay, and there was a beautiful view of it from my room. It was well-cleaned and comfortable.

While the property looks a little outdated, this is one of the best places I've stayed in. First, the staff are very pleasant. Second the room was very clean. Now the best part. The shower had wonderful water pressure. I mean watch sensitive parts kind of water pressure. The water was hot. I mean hot. And best of all there is a light in the shower. I could actually see to shave my legs. Truly a great shower all around. My only complaint was the pillows, not the best. Not a big deal. Ill definitely be staying here again on my travels.

Bait and switch

I had stayed in this motel before, and knew it was an older hotel. It was reasonable clean, with clean sheets and soft towels. But the wi-fi was AWFUL and in the four days I was there, three of them they didn't clean the room. I got ants into my trash can. I was also very dismayed at an additional, per-day-charge, for my dog because I had selected pet friendly on the reservation. For the additional $25 I would have taken my business to a better place.
