Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "We spent a good week at Les 3 Vaches. It is compact living but with different items to spot where ever you look! (open the dresser draws and find the TV!). The Gite is well set in the Normandy country side with good access to local shopping, eating and a large variety of different places to visit. "The house is set at the end of a very rural drive through the French countryside. Whilst VERY rustic, it has all the amenities you would expect, but is a compromise between a pretty old building and modern refurbishment. Perhaps not for everyone, but we loved it. "Only stayed one night, rental was very easy to find in a very remote peaceful location. Travelling with our dog so wanted to be in the countryside. Rental had everything needed, comfy bed and good shower. Didn’t really use kitchen but looked more than fully equipped. It is very remote but that’s what we wanted.."

"The house was absolutely beautiful, and ideally situated just a few meteres away from the town square - but very quiet indeed. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Les Glycines, which is highly recommended. The downstairs space is fairly compact, so while I think it would suit a family with small children it would be a bit of a squeeze for a group of five adults. But overall we loved it; we needed a rest and that's what we had!"

"This has become a regular stop for us on the way to Le Mans from Calais. It's perfect for our needs and ideally situated once you've got past Rouen. Easy Parking, good Pizza and Beer in the evening when we turn up, and a reasonable breakfast selection in the morning. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for more."
