"Very friendly welcome, great facilities, evening meal excellent, breakfast excellent, staff very friendly would stay again when passing. "

"Cabins are excellent- modern, clean, comfortable and very well stocked. We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer. "

" Nice spacicous rooms. One problem was the heat. No aircon. The outside temperature was particularly hot, 39°C. The room fan helped but other areas were extremely warm. Still like this hotel and will stay again in the future."

"We filled the chateau with 26 people, aged from 2 to 80, and it never felt overcrowded. Lots of lovely old furniture, but new good quality bedlinen and towels. Very clean. We mostly cooked for ourselves, and the kitchen was well-equipped for such numbers. Outside, there's a new tennis court by the pool, both are great. (The free-standing pool in the main photo has been replaced by a much better one, and the badminton/volleyball court is no longer there). The outside dining furniture has also been upgraded from the white plastic in the photos and was very nice. It was perfect for Puy du Fou but also in a lovely area to explore - though we mostly stayed at home to enjoy the facilities. One thing to note - the pool and tennis are 'communal' which means you may be sharing them with another large party in the other half of the chateau. With a bit of polite communication that was not a problem, especially with so much fine weather."

"Just got back from a fabulous holiday at a great Gite in La Chappell Themer. Quiet village location, but not too far to the supermarkets and town for essentials. About 40 mins drive to Puy du Fou (outstanding) and lots of chateau’s to visit in the area Gite was well appointed, spacious bedrooms and pool and outside area lovely, with use of bbq and large table areaSituated opposite the beautiful church (the bells made us jump a couple of times), it was a perfect get away to relax. Hosts live next door if you need anything and are lovely people Had a wonderful holiday "

"Clean room but basic, in need of some modernisation. Breakfast was basic too, but served a purpose. Location in parthenay was good! And parthenay itself is a lovely place to stay. "

"Perfect for overnight stop en route South or North. Lovely lady (owner?) Rooms recently decorated and so so so clean...bathroom spotless. Restaurant on site...was able to sit outside. Formula evening menu which is great when you don't want to spend too mush. Great nights sleep and lovely breakfast, the lady owner constantly re freshing items on breakfast buffet, tidying and wiping the surfaces. Thank you for a great stay."
