This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day.

老舗の建物・造作が古いことは当たり前で、その古いものにしかるべき手を加えて今どきの感覚でも快適に過ごせるようにされていらっしゃることに敬意を覚えました。 女将さん、若女将さん、仲居さん、どなたの接遇も心地良いものでした。 夕食も朝食も手間かけることを惜しんでいない御料理という印象でとても満足しました。 また訪れたいお宿です。

スタッフの方々、旅館の雰囲気、お食事どれもとても良かったです。しかし、夕御飯が19時までという説明がHPや事前説明など無かったので記載しておくと分かりやすいと感じました。

Great Ryokan

We had a lovely stay at the Heihachi Tea House Inn. We only stayed for one night, but the service was excellent. They were so welcoming to us! The booking including breakfast and dinner, although that was not made clear by hotels.com. We had a delicious traditional Japanese meal in a private room. The Inn is a bit out of the way, so I would recommend going and really enjoying the Inn itself. We would stay again!

숙박비가 좀 비싸긴 합니다만, 완벽에 가깝도록 노력하는 모습이 참 좋았습니다. 체크인 예정시간을 알려주면 담당자가 나와서 기다립니다. 다른 료칸들처럼 방에서 체크인하고 설명 듣습니다. 그래서 체크인이 매우 편합니다. 객실은 편의시설이 거의 없고, 좁습니다. 그러나 전망이 좋고 물소리가 편안하게 들립니다. 객실은 2층이고 식사는 아랫층의 별도의 독립된 방에서 하게 됩니다. 료칸에서 방에서 식사를 하면 답답하고 짐도 지저분해서 좀 불편한데, 이 부분이 참 마음에 들었습니다. 목욕탕이 별도로 있는데, 객실수가 워낙 적어서 아무도 마주치지 않습니다. 오래 된 목욕탕이 정겹고 좋습니다. 헤이하치자야에서 무엇보다 좋은 점은 정원입니다. 정원이 아주 좋아서 근처에 아무 것도 즐길거리가 없더라도 좋습니다.
