"The hotel is perfectly placed to walk to the temple, lake and market. A 20 min walk of brief tuk tuk ride from the station. Reasonably comfortable bed with a private en-suite. The only issue was that one wall of the room is a floor to ceiling window that looks onto the hallway and lets in light from the hall until it is switched off around 11pm. So maybe ask which rooms might be best if you prefer the dark! Air con very good and warm shower. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner....

"This is a very nice place to stay. Near the beach but an oasis of calm in the hotel. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I liked the pool for my water yoga and there was always some shade and sunshine so you could be comfortable."

"it is the 2nd time hotels.com is selling me a place that does not exist anymore. we went to the place after calling but failing to get an answer multiple times, they said they are not open for a year. it was a terrible experience to walk all the way with the luggage at night and trying to find another available hotel was awful."

"The hotel is lovely but dated. It’s in the middle of a residential area, and although google maps says it’s a 20 mins walk to the town centre, it doesn’t account for the monster hills! There was no cleaning in the room whilst we were there, water was charged at an exceptional rate, which we weren’t told about. The staff were very friendly though, and couldn’t help us enough, as we were one of two couples in the hotel during this our of season period. "

The wifi unfortunately was not working during our stay but the rooms were clean and ready for us when we stayed. "Property is not found at 53 Riverside Road, Matale. Given phone is switched off but he answered on the previous day and asked us to come. According to him weather was ok but weather was terreble and came back home because no place to stay at the night. I had to block my card as well. The worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."
