"Wer eine liebevoll eingerichtete, hundefreundliche, saubere, naturnahe Ferienwohnung, mit Whirlpool sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Unser Aufenthalt war genau so wie erhofft: entspannt, schön und eine Wohltat für alle Sinne. Kann es jedem nur empfehlen. Die Küche ist zum Selberkochen auch sehr gut ausgestattet, das hat uns natürlich auch nochmals positiv überrascht, weil wir das aus vorherigen Ferienwohnungen nicht so kannten. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung!"

"This was our second stay at Bootshaus Amberg and it continued to exceed our expectations. The beds and down comforters are amazing and we slept great. Their in-house restaurant and authentic German breakfast were delicious. We enjoyed a dinner there as well and the ambiance and decor make for a welcoming and delicious meal. We also enjoyed a beer out on their deck over the river. Delightful. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Amberg!"

"Really nice friendly staff in a historic building. The WiFi was reliable and the bathroom was nicely appointed. The shower was a glass cubicle in the room due to the constraints of the old building. It's pretty echoey in there (again because of the old building) and the floor in the room is wooden floorboards with gaps in them big enough to lose a ring down, so maybe don't bring your favourite jewellery! It was very squeaky to walk around. In addition, there was no bedside table which was a shame, instead some ugly metal lockers which presumably were meant to fit the jail "theme". Overall it was fine and well worth staying if you are fascinated with the history, perhaps if you prefer comfort and quiet, you should choose a more modern hotel! "
