Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Skyline Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"classic 5 star hotel ideally located in the Changning District. It also has a “real coffee” cafe on the top floor, incredible breakfast buffet (western and chinese choices) and is attached to a 8 floor high scale shopping mall, with huge food selection and a starbucks adjacent to the entrance. It might be considered pricey ($85) in China but in my World this is a $300+ night hotel definitely recommend and Ill be back"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room had a beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and we enjoyed it very much. The complimentary afternoon tea had only a few items, but it was still a lovely and unexpected surprise. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and really enjoyed our stay."

"This is a very nice hotel in a great area. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The business center helped me print a few pages I needed urgently and did not charge me. The Sky Bar gave me a 20% discount for staying in the hotel the day I arrived. On the day I checked out at noon, I went to the Sky Bar for two Negroni's before heading to the airport at two and the waitress refused to give me a discount as I was no longer a guest at the hotel since I had checked out. Crazy. In my mind the free printing at the business center nets this out, but what a strange policy and a sour note to leave on. I did find the rooms had limited power outlets. I had to unplug the teapot to charge my computer, etc. The bed was very low and hard. It was almost more of a futon-type mattress. It was also supposed to be a king-size bed, but was barely queen-size. All in all, the stay was excellent, but I am not sure I would stay again on my next trip to Shanghai."

"Great location within a large block of mixed hotels….gave it a positive review because everything was good but things I didn’t like but difficult to fix were the floors in rooms at different heights and the lobby floor had some unusual ramps but probably because of the building."

"Enjoyed the hotel. Location was ideal alot of high end shopping in the area and very beautiful part of Shanghai. Room was serviced spotless each day, and I appreciate cleaning even late in the day they came to clean it. When I first arrived and the young man at the concierge desk (Jayson?) was able to help me with an issue I was having and I really appreciate that. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Asia and took a star off for the following reasons. Front door staff seemed aloof and mostly uninterested in assisting guests either by opening the front doors or vehicle doors for guests. This is clearly a business hotel for international guests. WIFI was ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I lost count of how many people I heard complaining about it or their Whatsapp not working, or can't get into email, etc etc. I have to log into work each day, if I can't access my VPN I cant log into work my log in would be immediately frozen if a IP address from China showed. Im lucky I had an Esim and data plan was able to work around the issue, I fear many others won't be as fortunate. Overall I would stay again."
