Great Get-away in UpCountry
Our experience exceeded our expectations. The photos do not do the house justice. The owners restored the house themselves and there is so much air and light that it feels so welcoming. Lots of outdoor space as well (balconies in the front at back large enough for outdoor dining and to see sweeping views of the mountain as well as both coasts of the Island). There was a whole section of the house just for us that included 1 master bedroom and 2 balconies on the upper floors and the ground level that had a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and 2 more bedrooms (if you have larger parties, we were just 2). Wish we stayed 2 nights. Very close to lots of farms, some that give tours, like O'o., and a quick drive to the neighboring coast towns. The Owners were very friendly and were happy to stay and chat about their history, the Island's history, or to give you privacy if that is preferred. Clean bathroom and linens. comfortable bed, we slept SO WELL! Breakfast was also flexible and tasty. We opted for something light and had some delicious fresh fruit and muffins.
