"1) the advertisement on the website is misleading: it is a hostel with shared bathrooms yet it is offered as a boutique hotel. 2) I bought my stay through hotels.com and chose to pay at the check-in but the owner had called me before I arrived and said she only accepts cash. I have not seen such an approach in my entire life, forcing customers to pay cash and this is not written anywhere, no warning nothing. 3) i had to chase them to get an invoice after their various excuses not to issue it....

"Ayfada was very clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The cafe was not open during our stay. We did have a car and the parking was at a Otopark at the end of the street. It would have been good to understand that prior to arriving. The streets are very narrow. "

"My stay at Sarı gelin pansiyon was absolutely perfect, the room was beautiful, nicely smelling and clean. The building itself absolutely adorable, from the outside and from the inside. Breakfast was delicious. The owner is the sweetest and warmest person, always smilling and happy to give you a piece of advise on what to do/see in Ayvalık. Highly recommended. "

"I just had the worst weekend at this place. While some staff were very kind and helpful, the manager of this hotel is a very rude man that doesn't know how to treat customers and lies about the amenities offered by the hotel. The air-conditioning stopped working on our second night. The manager knew it had a problem but still kept us in this room. My biggest nightmare was the parking. As everyone can see it says it has parking and that is free, however, besides to be a very hard place to reach...
