Old farmhouse on 1100 m altitude between the Katsch Mountain & Millstätter Lake

The romantic farmhouse is at 1100 m altitude at the Nöring Valley between Rennweg & Gmünd and between the natural reserves 'Hohe Tauern' & 'Nockberge'. The 100 sqm apartment contains a spacious living room with seating corners, tiled stove, TV, map of hiking tracks, books & a kitchen with dishwasher, a parental bedroom, bathroom with shower, two children's rooms with 2 large beds, 2 children's beds, a cot, baby changing unit, high chair & toys. All rooms have electrical heating. Balcony all around and a marvellous view of the Nock Mountains. Sauna and washing machine in the basement. The garden contains a large sun terrace, many seats & a tiny stream. In front of the house, a drinking water fountain is splashing. The administrator on the ground floor will be pleased to support you. At the organic farmer next door, you can buy bread, milk, butter, juices, jams, berries, and mushrooms. An occupancy with 6 adults is possible for a fee of 30 €/day (extra double bedroom with shower).

Golf: Several very nice golf courses in the surrounding reduce each other's green fees. Lungau: ca. 20 km. Obermillstatt: ca. 20 km. Radstadt: ca. 60 km. Kleinkirchheim: ca. 60 km. Udine (Italy) and Bled (Slovenia) are nice trips.

Skiing: There is no slope directly at the house. The nearest skiing area is in Innerkrems (ca. 17 km), where the Austrian National Team is training and Katschberg (ca. 20 km) The ski bus runs several times daily from Gmünd over Eisentratten to both areas. Further skiing areas are Goldeck (close to Gmünd, ca. 20 km) Obertauern (ca. 50 km) and Kleinkirchheim (ca. 50 km).

Swimming, sailing, surfing, paddling: The lakes in Kärnten are the warmest in Europe, and the water in the rivers, streams and lakes is the cleanest. Outdoor pool Gmünd (ca. 5 km), Millstätter Lake (ca. 10 km), Weißen Lake (ca. 50 km), Wörther Lake (ca. 60 km).

Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich ein Traum!
In der Ferienwohnung haben wir uns vom ersten Moment an heimisch gefühlt. Sauber, großzügig und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist umfangreich ausgestattet und die Vermieter sind immer ansprechbar. Der großzügige Garten ist ebenfalls mit nutzbar. Wer Lust hat auf Ruhe und ganz viel Natur, wird sich hier sicher wohl fühlen. Die Wohnung ist geeignet auch für ältere Kinder. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Vielen Dank an Herr Diehl und an die liebe Sarah mit ihrer wundervollen Familie!

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung
Tolle, wunderschöne Ferienwohnung und genauso tolle Umgebung. Leider hat uns Corona einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht, sodass wir nach der halben Zeit schon wieder abgereist sind. Aber die Wohnung ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Sie ist groß, landestypisch eingerichtet und es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Verwalterfamilie ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Also, es war alles toll für uns - wenn Corona nicht wäre. Wir kommen aber noch einmal wieder!!

Schönes altes Bauernhaus mit tollem Ausblick und sehr freundliche Gastgeber
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die tolle Aussicht genossen.. man kann viele Ausflüge von dort starten und in der Scheune Tischtennis spielen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gross und die Terasse ebenso. Bei google Maps muss man bei der Anreise aufpassen das man über den Ort "Eisentrassen" rein kommt.

Super schöne urige Unterkunft
Wir verbrachten wunderbare Tage in dieser schönen Unterkunft! Die Unterkunft ist mit allem, nur vorstellbarem, ausgestattet! Uns hat es an nichts gemangelt. Die beiden Verwalter, mit im Haus, sind sehr rücksichtsvoll und zuvorkommend. Ihre Kinder sind ganz wunderbar! Es war eine sehr schöne Woche und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Great location, challenging drive
The place, the house, the environment is definitely to be loved and a lot was said in earlier opinions, just to add two points: - the route on Google maps to the place is not so accurate (not at all) - if you go there in winter... be careful driving ;)
