Ideal als Stützpunkt für einen kleinen Wanderurlaub, da Winkel praktisch im Zentrum der Vulkaneifel liegt und alle Highligts, wie die Maare, die Manderscheider Burgen oder Gerolstein mit seinen "Dolomiten" nach kurzer Fahrt zu erreichen sind.
