The best features of the Artemis Apartments are the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and its close proximity (5 minute walk) to the iconic Konitsa Bridge and two good restaurants nearby. A walk to the town center is about 18-20 minutes uphill but we didn't mind the excercise. We would gladly stay here again.
This lovely little place is a gem! The owner greeted me warmly and the check in was easy. I was in Konitsa in February and it was cold outside, but my room had been warmed so it felt like coming home. Having a kitchen meant I could enjoy some simple home cooking, something I have been missing on this long journey. The hotel is waking distance from hiking paths and the center of town. I would have liked to stay longer.

These attractive, compact, well equipped self catering apartments are close to the picturesque old bridge of Konitsa, in the lower part of the town. They have good wifi, a friendly owner, a lovely garden, balconies in three directions ( first floor apartment) and good parking. They are is easy to find if you start from the river bridge which crosses the main E 90 (local road number 20) at the south end of the town. Going north, take the first right, signposted to Health Centre and old bridge and then turn immediately right ( no more than 20m), with a wooden signpost saying Artemis in Greek letters ( a bit like APTEMIZ); you can then see the apartment block after about 30m on your left- it is the pink two storey building with wooden shutters and tables outside. lat/ long coordinates; N 40.04103; E 020.74327; at 452m above sea level. If approaching from the North by pass the town and go down to the bridge first. It is a 2 km walk uphill along a zig zagging residential road to the pleasant town centre with restaurants, and shops. The inside decor is a little dated, but it is very clean, well maintained and equipped. We struggled to find the place with google maps and asked at a garage, whose helpful staff guided us on their motorbike and phoned the owner, who arrived in less than 5 minutes. Buy petrol here as it can be hard to get elsewhere if travelling onwards.
