It runs on 12 wheels - 6 on each side of the chariot representing the 12 months of the year. Each wheel is divided in 8 thick spokes and 8 thin spokes depicting the praharas or the different time of the day.

Just opposit to the hotel is the Sankaracharya temple so you will be woken up by the bhajans at 5:30 AM. The complimentary breakfast was average. The hotel is not clean, rooms are dirty, curtains extremely dirty, the doormats dirty and wet, the bed sheets were used ones which they did not bother to change. The room was damp and smelt musty, does not look like it has been aired for a long time....
