"During check in I was going to extend my stay. When I asked the staff how about availability and price, the guy who checked me in was super nice and helpful. You're kind further from the "hot spots", which is not a big deal, except all the hills. Also the room had a leaking air conditioning unit right above the bathroom entrance. Stepping on wet carpet was not pleasant. Other than that, hotel seemed nice."

Valamar Tirena Hotel

"A wonderful stay at Valamar Tirena. Maro World and the pool with swim up bar and separate slides was a massive hit with my child. Fantastic place to relax after a morning exploring the Old Town. Food was great and of fantastic quality - everything cooked to a high standard and always plenty to choose from. Oliva bar during the day also was very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was great and the hotel was very clean. A few restaurants and shops within the complex and night entertainment was good. Area itself is lovely with a beach within a 5 minute walk with inflatables and beach bar. Option to use facilities at other hotels however we only used the Spa at the Lacroma (which was lovely) due to not needing to leave Tirena - the pool at the Lacroma has fab views as we walked passed where as the pool at the Tirena is within the garden and therefore no views but was lovely and a nice vibe. Hotel wasn’t too big, just nice. Always a few sun beds available therefore no need to reserve! Very convenient bus stop within 5 minute walk (if that!) of the hotel with a direct bus to Pile Gate - amazing!! Never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. Hotel is great for families wanting the best of both worlds with exploring and relaxing! Would recommend!"

"I booked on Hotel.com 2 days before our arrival. Only wanted 1 night. Very happy with the hotel, had an upgrade to a suite with 2 shower rooms. Fruit and wine in our room. Super clean. Big towels, Loved the pool and beach area. Had delicious pizza there. Helpful staff everywhere. Beautiful views. Would recommend for an upmarket hotel."

"Very close to the sea, and the local bars and restaurants were straight out of the hotel, with the furthest 10mins away. Perfect place to relax, or use as a hub to go out for the day"
