The condo faces South at the OCEAN and then wraps-around and faces West toward the SUNSET, ocean and Coast Line. Re-modeled. Upgraded bi-annually. King size beds in each bedroom, new bathroom vanity, pedestal sink. New living room furniture, new TV, new blue ray DVD. Main living space and dining area boast amazing views of the crashing waves through ceiling to floor windows and glass doors opening up to the south facing lanai. Best unit for watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets! Each bedroom has king-size beds with central air conditioning to ensure perfect temperatures for sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked, including, a crock pot, rice maker, veggie steamer, food processor, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, glass pots, metal pots and extra cups, glasses and dishes. Great location and very well stocked property

We love the location of this VRBO. Right on the water and close to mini great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of TP, paper towels, beach towels, ocean gear, including snorkel stuff, wake surf boards a catching a surfboard even. The binoculars were especially helpful during whale season. I definitely would recommend staying at this VRBO and we will be back.

Directly on the ocean with lovely lanai

This condo is right on the ocean and we loved hearing the waves all day long. The hosts set this up with all the supplies we needed: kitchen, cookware, coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs..etc. the AC was lovely in the bedrooms at night. Our family had a wonderful time!

The location is awesome. We loved watching the sea turtles and surfers. Conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, beaches. We look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful location

Beautiful views at this beachfront property! Close to amazing snorkeling areas. Chris was very attentive to a maintenance issue that we had. Communication was great and were able to come to a resolution. Would stay again!

Poipu getaway

Amazing location—able to view sunrises and sunsets every day, overlooking the water, with beaches and restaurants close by. Quiet condo association, communal laundry area but need quarters to operate. Overall great stay, can’t wait to come back!

The best apartment at Kuhio Shores

The apartment had everything we needed with access to beaches and snorkeling within walking distance. There was extra boogie boards and snorkel gear so we didn’t have to rent our own equipment. The view is incredible and we watched the sunset every night. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of this property was amazing. Our favorite place was sitting at the table with the corner view and the waves crashing below. We thought it might be time for a few updates but overall we loved staying there!

Beautiful Place to Stay on a beautiful island

The accomodations are comfortable and geared to island life. The view is spectacular!! The kitchen has all you need for making memorable meals. Both bathrooms provide the basics and the shower is perfect. Plenty of mirrors and lighting. The only caveat is that the AC is in the bedrooms, not the LR/kitchen. Most days were fine. It would be helpful if there was a curtain in LR to use when the sun shines in. Towels were plentiful along with TP, kleenex, outdoor gear, garbage bags, cleaning supplies and conidments and seasonings in the kitchen along with storage containers. We highly recommend this lovely property.

Perfect Location

The location is absolutely perfect! Right next to a great bar/restaurant. Snorkeling and beach just a few feet away. We sat on the balcony daily and watched the whales. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Awesome view and clean well/equipped condo.

The condo was exactly what is advertised. Kitchen is well stocked. Condo was clean and well maintained with awesome views. The beach chairs and coolers were a great extra for our week stay. I would suggest more bath towels and wash clothes added to prevent washing everyday. I would recommend this condo and will stay here again.

Fun NYE at Kuhio Shores

This unit at Kuhio Shores exceeded my family's expectations in terms of the view - the ocean is literally within spitting distance, it's spectacular. We got to watch sea turtles gather right outside the patio every morning, saw whales spouting in the distance and could even see the Poipu fireworks on New Years Eve. Given we have a 5 year old, the lack of a pool and a sandy beach were lowlights, but overall the area is fantastic, the unit is in great shape, very clean and comfy, we had a great experience and would highly recommend staying here!

Exceptional all around

I rarely give ANYTHING/ANYONE 5☆ but I can't think of ANYTHING that needed improved... nothing. Condo views are bar none THE BEST! The ocean is loud (good thing) can't hear any chickens in the am. Bed was comfortable. We WILL be back!

Great view and location

The place had a great view. There was some construction in the building but overall that did not impact us. The place is a little dated which is shown in the pictures but it is well appointed and comfortable. The owners are great and were very helpful with information about the area. Poipu beach is close so that was convenient. there is a very small beach you can walk to but a bit rocky so bring water shoes. The house had beach chairs, boogie boards etc which was nice. The house is right next to the Beach House restaurant which is amazing. Thank you

Beautiful Views, Great Snorkeling, Great Location!

My husband, our two kids (8 and 11), and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chris' condo. It was very well-appointed, had amazing views of the ocean and sunsets, and was in a great location with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. There was beach gear (i.e. chairs, boogie boards, ice chests, etc.) in the condo, which made it extremely convenient to enjoy our time on the many beaches that we explored during our stay. There is great snorkeling right outside of the condo and on the nearby Poipu beach (lots of tropical fish and sea turtles), and we enjoyed watching sea turtles and manta rays swimming by the rocks from our balcony. We even got to watch the turtles come up onto shore at sunset to rest on Poipu beach, which was incredible to see. We would highly recommend this condo to others visiting Kauai!

Excellent Ocean Front Condo!

This condo was excellent for our group of 2 couples. The ocean front lanai provided us with views of humpback whales, spinner dolphins, sea turtles as well as beautiful views of the sunrises and sunsets daily. Lawa'i Beach is a small sand beach beside the condo which provided some good snorkeling (some waves, but still worked pretty well for us) and more sunset views. There were quite a few fish and some turtles to see while snorkeling. The condo had everything we needed to relax, cook meals and go the beach. It was clean and very comfortable. Other good swimming / snorkeling beaches and restaurants at Poipu were easy to get to by car within a 10 minute drive. Greg and Chris were great hosts, providing all that we needed in the condo and answering our questions quickly.

Fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay at 214 Kuhio shores. So close to the ocean, fun to listen to the waves! We enjoyed watching the whales & turtles from our balcony. Turn your head slightly and watch surfers. Finally in the evening you have the best views of the sunset on the whole island. Sit at the dining table and all of these views are available, also. The owners were great to communicate with. We appreciated this because our old VRBO account was lost when VRBO changed to the One Key reward system. In some small ways, a few updates would be nice. The refrigerator works well but some of the gaskets needs repair, so replacement of the refrigerator would be good. We would really recommend this place as the price & location is great! Waterfront extraordinary. Turtles. Surfers, beach, and snorkeling steps away.

One of the best places we’ve stayed. The star of this place is the view and the excellent AC in both bedrooms. You are literally oceanfront about 15 yards from the ocean and you can see the turtles from your lanai. You can step out of your apartment and get a fantastic sunset. It’s steps away from snorkeling and a small beach. Beachhouse restaurant is right next-door with its world renowned views. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice although the second bedroom has a little bit of a unique shower and toilet area. Kitchen is well appointed. The beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, and cooler were all appreciated. Only two minor complaints one no icemaker after you fill trays to the zippers on the chairs and the cooler or difficult to operate or wouldn’t work at all on the chairs because of salt corrosion.

stayed in unit #214 7/09. Was fantastic! right on the surf (be careful of the low cost units as they don/t have the view!) and the view makes it. Drank coffee each morning 40ft from the surf, watched sea turtles daily from anywhere in the condo. Unit was stocked with anything you'll need (kitchen/towels/chairs/etc).Clean, roomy and comfortable did I mention the view? takes your breath away when you arrive. If you want to keep the back sliding glass door open (we did) you'll listen to the surf all night (best sleep I've had in years!). Chuck, the owner was very easy to work with and accomodating. I'll be recommending this to a few friends. If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay in kauai you've found it! 5 STARS OUT OF 4!!

Just as described

Our family of 5 stayed here for 11 days in December 2011. As Chuck describes, this unit juts out toward the ocean more than the other units in the complex to give totally unobstructed views. From our lanai we watched the sunrise AND the sunset with nothing but ocean in between. Absolutely spectacular. Chuck called us to make sure everything was okay... and it was. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. Everything in excellent working order. The couch was replaced with a loveseat and another recliner added. My wife called them the "man-chairs" (meaning: they were soooo comfortable. We would love to stay in this unit again. Thanks Chuck!

Smells like a Motel 6, cigarettes mildew and industrial strenth cleaning products.

We could not stay in this property. the stench was so foul that we could not breathe. at the same time, there was construction, scaffolding right outside our window, and constant hammering and Drilling all day long. We did not stay overnight. We were afraid of an acute asthma attack. Owner was extremely uncooperative in trying to assist us. Owner's lack of response compounded the problem. They were notified by building management of construction, but THEY LIED to us and pretended not to know. Do not stay here!!!!
