Beautiful resort.

Great hotel on Cheongnom Beach. Clean rooms with outdoor bathrooms and pools if on ground level. Staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. You can have dinner on the sand if you desire. Breakfast is served overlooking the beach. Beach is clean and water nice. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed there 4 nights middle of December 2025. The resort itself is very nice. The employees are incredible. A couple things I noticed compared to another 5 star resort we stayed while on our vacation was top management didn’t come around to check on their guests. Sure it’s minor but at other resort it did make us feel wanted. We are huge beach goers and with Sala’s location the beach is small (meaning narrow from the top of the beach to the water line) which is no fault of Sala just the way it’s situated due to the location. The last thing I’d say is the food is a bit pricey. Being from CA we’re used to things being pricey but you would think being in Thailand even at a resort it would be a noticeable difference but not here. Sure there’s plenty of choices outside the resort where you can get a lot of value for the dollar. The accommodation value is good. Our Sala room was very nice and enjoyed the entire outside bathroom area it was different and cool.

Great stay, wonderful place to relax and enjoy the warm weather of Samui! Staff is very friendly and available, food was great and at reasonable price. Beach is not so clean and so not expect clean water for snorkeling.

Nice stay with family

Service was great, amazing staff! Great breakfast and restaurant food. Also a plus for the theme nights, our 2 year old loved the fire show! Nice location, near airport and nice beach. Our room felt a bit old and small. I didn't really enjoy the design with bathroom outside, but that's personal preference. Overall a great stay, but it is a bit overpriced for what it is.

This is a boutique resort: small and elegant with excellent service. The room was very nice with a large balcony and bathroom. To access the bathroom there is a big pivoting glass door which is a bit annoying to push open: it is heavy and gets stuck to the curtains which assure privacy when using the bathroom.

Beachside relaxation

Had a relaxing six nights at the Sala. Location is amazing - a few bars and restaurants along the beautiful beach and nearby on the road. 15 min Grab ride into Fisherman’s Village or Chaweng if you want some more nightlife action. Staff and service were amazing. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Lots of drinking water provided each day. A quirky bathroom setup in the balcony rooms, with a rotating door to the outside bathroom, but got used to it after a night. Pool areas fantastic with plenty of loungers and cabanas. Having a seperate adult pool area was a bonus! Great breakfast selection. Active and effective insect treatment program. Would happily return for another stay!

We absolutely LOVED our time at SALA Samui Choengmon! The staff were all very sweet, accommodating, and helpful. The property is just large enough where everything feels easily accessible and well-spaced. Our private pool was the highlight of the property, as it's so nice to be able to take a dip (in the humidity and heat) without having to leave our own space. Happy hour by the beach was wonderful, as they're located on the quiet and less busy end of the beach (and island) -- could not have asked for a better vacation!

Loved our visit. especially the villa with private pool. All of the hotel staff were great. But Ms Mam stood out. Always seeking us out to make sure we were having a great time and to offer up any help. She is such an asset to Sala and we miss her already. The online payment link we needed to do in advance is arriving was a great stressor as it didn't work for us. Sure hope that gets worked out soon.

Lovely staff and resort. But I just can’t get over the open bathroom in ALL rooms. I thought it was only in the suites. Can’t leave anything in the bathroom as flies are always in and out. So keep your toothbrush etc in the room. No place to actually stand to shower. Must be inside GIANT bathtub. If you’re disabled, have kids or have bad balance it will be very difficult as it gets very slippery. ‘5 star’ but can’t keep slippers. Unbranded slippers at 300 baht if you take them lol. Toiletries have been watered down. Turndown service includes fruit. Breakfast good but restaurant little bit too small. It felt like you were sitting right next to the other guests. Beach is not clean. Dirtiest beach in Samui. It’s not the fault of the staff just tourists who think it’s fine to litter. Request to extend check out was granted so helpful. Standard room small and hard to move around. Too much space wasted in bathroom and balcony. Location is dead. Nothing to do apart from go to 7/11, crappy little cafe and restaurant.
