Luxury private pool villa in the countryside with ocean views

Relax in this modern, beautifully designed, 3-bedroom, private pool villa in the Samui countryside. The private horizon pool affords amazing near 180 degree views to the sea and Koh Phangan island beyond. There is an outdoor sala seating area for evening meals, and a terrace above for sunbathing or star-gazing. Each of the three bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom area. You can easily stroll to BangPor beach and its many highly-rated restaurants on the beach.

The cost you see includes cleaning and fresh bed linen prior to your visit, electricity, gas (for the cooking hob), water and internet.

The area

The villa has its own garden (yard), with a waterfall from the pool above. It is surrounded by fields and wooded areas, with only a few nearby residents further up the hill. The village of Bangpor, with its beach, great local restaurants (most on the beach), and convenience shops (3 supermarkets, pharmacy, laundry, motorbike rentals) is a 10-15 minute walk away (2 minutes by car or scooter). Please note that there is a flight of concrete steps to get to the main (upper) floor of the villa. These plus the pool are open, and so the property may not be suitable for very young children -- who would require constant supervision.

There are fans in the main living room, with the "indoor-outdoor" style made by opening the huge glass doors from the living area to the patio and pool area, offering great views over fields to the ocean. There is air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms. The fully air-conditioned second living room downstairs (with tv, sofa, basic exercise equipment, massage table) is an alternative indoor area for relaxing and cooling off as necessary.

The open plan living area upstairs comprises a kitchen area, and dining area and a relaxation area with sofa and tv.

Bedroom#1 is accessed from the pool area. Bedroom#2 is accessed via the open plan living area. Bedroom#3 is downstairs through a separate entrance, with its own living room. All bedrooms have window blinds or thick curtains, perfect for a good night's sleep.

This is a no smoking inside, and (sorry!) no pets property.

The property is called "Villa Samui by the sea" on Google maps. It is somewhat misleading, as it is a 5 minute drive to the beach, but I have no idea how to change it!

The airport is 30 minutes away, Fisherman's Village 20 minutes away, Nathon pier 25 minutes away. The area is away from the clubs and bars of Chaweng, so, if you are looking for a party life, this is probably not the place for you!

The host, John, lives in Canada for some of the year, and lives in the villa himself for the remaining part of the year. He is a semi-retired professor in Psychology. He loves to hear about guests' backgrounds and interests.

The property is new to VRBO and therefore has no reviews on this site. However, on an alternative booking site, the review rating is a perfect 5.0 from the first year of rentals.
