Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay! Such a shame that the pool was out of order but Mr Sam and staff offered a free light breakfast daily and transport to beach if required.Great room with comfy bed and even a bath! Location is great as you can still walk to the beach. Always a smile from everyone and the grounds were kept immaculate.

Upon check-in we were greeted by two men that were unfamiliar with the check-in process. They gave us the wrong room, tried to keep our passports, and after getting us to our room, knocked on the door for the next hour (three separate occasions) to make sure we were okay. Our first impression of the room was that it was the bare minimum room when we paid for their best room with a view. The curtains didn’t cover the windows completely and were open to the main walk way so there was no privacy. The blackout curtains they advertised were actually white lace. The bed had dead bugs in it. The sink and all surrounding areas had dirt everywhere. The linens had holes in them and were stained. The entrance to the bungalow had ants all over the door and door knob. The next morning we noticed that the pool had a massive crack in it and was rendered out of service. The staff was very rude as we voiced our concerns and acknowledged that we were put in their minimal room and didn’t give us a refund. I’ve stayed many places in Thailand that were fantastic but this one was by far the worst. I don’t recommend it to anyone for any reason.

Lage Am Hang in der Natur, viele Vögel und andere Tiere, sehr schön. Frühstück nach Absprache auch vegetarische Varianten möglich. Renovierung der Anlage sollte bald beginnen, in Teilen dringend nötig. Sehr nettes Personal, man bekommt hier Hilfe.

Luxueux au calme

Glad we chose this one

Lovely spacious Thai style bungalows in a quiet location away from all the action of Lamai but close enough for an easy walk to markets, beach, night spots and massage. Our bungalow was up a steep hill but our luggage was carried up for us & the reward was a fantastic seaview with a breeze & privacy. Beautiful gardens, large pool with amazing rock formations & plants surrounding. The breakfast was simple but all we needed & with a delicious range of homemade jams. The hosts & staff were very friendly so overall we were relaxed & happy withour stay. The reasonable price was a bonus.

O hotel tem funcionários muito atenciosos. Entretanto o hotel e bem desatualizado. O que mais me decepcionou é que a piscina principal do hotel estava em reforma e não me fora avisado nada no momento da reserva. Além disso o café da manhã é muito simples e restrito.

Deuxième séjour pour moi dans cet hôtel, après être venu en 2011. Cette fois ci j'avais choisi une chambre. Confort ok. Mais si vous le pouvez, préférez les villas en bois, avec un intérieur tout en bois, chaleureux, avec salle de bains à moitié extérieure pour certaines villas. Attention : la pente est très raide pour accéder à certaines villas !

Might be a nice stay when in season

Pros: Great service, very nice staff. Nice breakfast. Cons: It felt like the hotel was closed even though we were there. There was a poolbar that however was closed. Furthermore, there were two pools of which one of them was closed as well. The bed was TERRIBLE! Overall, I do not believe that the hotels lived up to our expectations due to the price. The room felt like a bad guesthouse or hostel and not worth the amount of money we paid. The pool that was not closed was nice. IF ignoring the fact that the bed was terrible, I think the hotel would be a nice stay in season. However NOT in the wet season as the nice things such as poolbar was closed.

Great for families

Been there with 4 children (9, 7, 5, 3 years old). Had a lot of fun in the big pool. The stuff is nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. You can use a one-way-free-shuttle to Lamai beach. The villas have a lot of space including mini bar, free drinking water refilled every day and air condition. Hotel is a little bit old but maintained and located next to a busy road.

Lovely hotel but investment required.

The hotel is in a fabulous location with amazing grounds however it is a bit run down and some repairs are below standard. The rooms are on a hillside and it's very steep and is very hard to climb to the top rooms, very hard indeed so be careful if you're not really fit. It was such a struggle I changed rooms to one at the bottom near to the pool. The pool itself is brilliant and gets sun all day long but again is let down by the lack of useable sunbeds and parasols. The pool furniture is in need of replacement as most is not fit for purpose. Our first room was a deluxe room but again was not fit to house guests. It was borderline derilect and I'm no snob and it was cheap but basics were broken and should not have been used. Fortunately the killer hill combined with the poor state of our room gave me all the reasons to move to the family room at additional cost but worth it to us. Much better condition although still has issues with repairs being poor and broken furniture and bathroom fittings. The staff were brilliant and due to the early season visit 31/03/18 to 14/04/18 they were on constant view and very helpful. I loved my stay but with a few investments on the rooms and grounds it would have been idilic.

La plage est 15mn.

Le personnel parle pas français comme indiqué sur le net. En anglais il se débrouille enfin pour nous c'est OK car on cherche ce type d'hôtel. La chambre est propre mais vieille beaucoup de verdure des bruits de chants d'oiseaux et notre chambre est au bord de la route. Donc beaucoup de bruits La piscine est très bien.

Haben uns wohl gefühlt - Emfehlenswert

Schöne Anlage mit SEHR steiler Handlage. Dadurch gute Luft aber WIRKLICH steil!!! Nicht für Personen mit Gehbehinderung geeignet!!!!! Frühstück für thailändische Verhältnisse durchaus gut. Viel Obst zum Müsli (dafür wenig Müsli)! Lamai gut fußläufig zu erreichen (wenn man denn den Hotelberg hinter sich gelassen hat)! Gutes WIFI! Gute Restaurants in Lamai. Wir emfehlen die Pizzeria Tropicana und The Butcher (beides für Thailand relativ teuer, für uns gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis)!

Mysigt och välkomnande.

Det var ett jättetrevligt ställe med väldigt serviceinriktad personal. De hjälpte till med allt. Stora rum som vissa ligger delvis på en kulle men är mysigt och man glömmer att man har mycket trafik i närheten.

Standard Zimmer nicht empfehlenswert

Die Bewertungen bei Hotels.com können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Diese scheinen für die Bungalows zu gelten aber auf keinen Fall für die Standard Zimmer. Die Zimmer haben die besten Jahre lange hinter sich gelassen und sind in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Kaputte Fußböden, Türen und Fenster. WLAN ohne Funktion. Matratzen defekt (wir haben uns Schrammen am Federkern zugezogen). Schränke fallen auseinander. Schimmel. Dreckige Gardinen. Löcher in Bettwäsche usw. In unserem ersten Zimmer wurde Klopapier im Fenster „vergessen“. Schwer zu sagen wie es da hin kam. Wir konnten in ein größeres Zimmer wechseln das besser aber auch nicht tadellos war. Hätten wir den regulären Preis bezahlt, wäre ich entsetzt gewesen. Der „Insiderpreis“ ist in Anbetracht der Leistung aber auch zu hoch. Das Hotel wollte auch gar nicht genau wissen was die Mängel bei der Beschwerde war. Ist also entweder bekannt oder man möchte die Mängel nicht beheben. Das ist schade, denn es sind oft Mals einfach Kleinigkeiten. Die Menge macht es aber zum Problem. Ja, die Anlage ist wirklich schön und der Service bemüht aber auch nicht so grandios. Man wollte uns kein Taxi rufen, man sollte bitte 30min auf den eigenen Fahrer warten. Taxi war dann in 2 min selber organisiert. Der Kofferträger lief lange sinnlos in unserem Zimmer rum um Trinkgeld zu ergattern. Muss auch nicht sein. Lage ist gut. Es ist sehr lebhaft in der Nähe. Ich lade ein paar Bilder hoch, hätte noch viel mehr...

Sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig

Wir finden diieses Resort super! Alles sieht sehr hübsch aus, das Personal ist zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und extrem freundlich. Wir blieben hier sogar viiel länger als eigentlich geplant, weil das Resort in Lamai liegt und somit in der Hälfte der Ostküste ist. Da die Insel schnell mit dem Auto umrundet ist, kommt man überall innert 30min fahrt hin. Das Zimmer ist einfach eingerichtet, hat aber alles was es braucht und geputzt wird auch täglich. Wer nicht allzu viel Geld ausgeben möchte und es trotzdem lauschig haben will, ist hier genau richtig!

Lovely being in the bungalows high in the lush trees spread up the hillside. Good pool. Great value, large private rooms, well serviced daily. But skip the provided breakfast - disappointing. Steep property not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, but it makes the landscape a charming adventure.

Prima accomodatie, attent personeel, voldoende ontbijt, ruime huisjes met veranda.Ongeveer 15min van het strand.Voorzien van uitstekend zwembad en uitzicht op zee.Je moet voor sommige kamers wel een redelijk stijl pad omhoog lopen.Voor mij was dit reden een wat lager gelegen kamer te vragen.
