The room was very clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are always cheerful! The hotel is a bit old, and could use some new beds, but it is Kodiak! Can't complain about this beautiful island.

The rooms are so old that the carpet is wet and moldy and sticky. Tiles falling from the tubs, mold growing on ceiling tiles, the floor, the tub, the toilet. The rooms are saturated with so much cigarette smoke that even your clothes when you arrive home stink from it. The windows dont work, there is no AC. The curtains stink of cigarette smoke. The refrigerators leak onto the carpet. The front desk staff is rude and useless. And the prices u pay for this run down hotel are ridiculous. However the breakfast was decent.
