Holy peanut butter

Great place to stay cheaper than a hotel, clean and easy check in , the owner checked in with me the night I arrived , the neighborhood is in a transition phase , and felt safe. Good quantity of baking supplies to make a cake or peanut butter cookies

No heat, non responsive host

When we arrived there was left over food in every cabinet, in the fridge, and in the freezer. No heat in the house at all and the temp dropped below 55 degrees inside at night. Called and texted the contact number but got no response. Ended up buying a space heater in order to make it through the night.

The property was close to campus and our activities. This was a great feature. The beds were comfortable, but I was glad we brought our own blankets. That being said there were many vacated and boarded up homes close to the property. The homes on both sides were very questionable. There was what appeared to be an abandoned van sitting almost in front of the property during our entire stay. The bedding and linens need updated. Worn sheets with a patch on one sheet in the master. The towels were very thin and many had bleach spots and stains. The dishwasher was full upon arrival and there was only a consumer carry out bag with dried up soap available. We did not use any dishes or the dishwasher. There was no toaster available. I guess some people would have liked the rice cooker. We would have preferred a toaster and a Kurig. The lockbox was located over an outdoor light and was difficult to use. I feel the cleaning fee was excessive when we had to strip beds and pile up towels and take out the trash. I put the trash can to the curb one day because I noticed the other neighbors had theirs out. Luckily, it was emptied.

Short distance from campus

House is very clean and recently remodeled. Not sure it was complete. House and location suited our needs very well. The distance from campus was great. Neighborhood wasn’t what we expected. Communication with host was awful.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE ! Very Sketchy

Highly do not recommend booking this place. It is located in a very sketchy part of town, surrounded by nothing but abandoned homes. We arrived to random pieces of trash located all over the home, Urine on the bathroom floors, random half used men’s care items, half hung curtains, random food left behind, trash from previous stay , and half made beds that looked like they were slept in. We ended up getting a hotel downtown as that was safer and way less than the total of this property. We lost our money which is fine I guess. I’m 100% surprised this property is allowed on Vrbo, or any other site. Communication with owners was not timely. Customer service said this property was cleaned to its standard… not at all. They need a new cleaning service asap! I’ve stayed at a lot of Vrbos and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Save your money and just stay at a hotel HORRIBLE!

House was nice but neighboring houses were questionable.

House was updated but neighborhood was sketchy. No plates, glasses, bowls or coffee mugs so drinking coffee was a challenge. House served its purpose but probably wouldn’t stay again. I like to wake up and take a walk but wouldn’t feel safe in this area.

perfect for trade shows

Stayed here for a trade show at the convention center. It was only a short uber ride into town but allowed me to get away from it all at the end of the day.

Beautiful house but…

The house has been beautifully renovated recently, so recently the price tags/ plastic is still on most every thing. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. However, there is an abandoned home across the street and a white Van was parked in the grass on the property during our stay. During our visit we had a few inconveniences. There is no WiFi despite it being listed on the add. I reached out to the number given for the property, it was not in service. I emailed the first night of our stay and did not receive a reply. The second morning when leaving the deadbolt broke. We had to call Evole to explain that we haven’t been able to connect with the property owner. The owner did stop by after they used the owner portal. She was going to have someone come out to fix it later. We figured it would be the next day as it broke Christmas morning. It was still broken when we checked out on NYE. The washing machine does not spin, it is new so thinking it just needs the cardboard removed from underneath but did not want to try to fix without property owner giving permission. Overall it was a beautiful house, they just need to get the property completely ready before the next guest checks in. Cons of the stay: Broken pieces of wood across drive way No Modem/Wifi Food in cabinets Dirty ice maker tray on the counter Trash in the trash cans and cabinets Missing fridge door handle Unable to lock deadbolt on front door (used back door) Milkman hat/ package of dry milk in living room
