"Artist cottage was a comfortable well furnished and clean property. It was within walking distance of Harrogate and handy for visiting surrounding area. There is a railway line to rear but it wasn't intrusive. Our only concern was the extremely steep wooden stair to bedrooms and with the bathroom being on the ground floor, this was not ideal. So, I would say not for the older guest or anyone with walking difficulties. "

"Was in a great location however it didn’t say that it was an end terrace with a path at the running the length of the house. Also it didn’t mention that there were steep slippery steps to get on to the rear garden which again was just a slab and deck area which wasn’t a garden as such. Living area very small and if at full occupancy wouldn’t be able to fit everyone in. TV & internet not great and had to keep refreshing to get connection. Could do with a bit of TLC. "I booked this property and paid direct to the property. I received confirmation of payment by email. I drove to the property expecting a code for the key box. I did not get one. I tried phoning the letting company, no response, email no response, what'sapp no response. I contracted Hotels.com who also pursued. no response. I have lost my money and had to find alternative accomodation at a higher cost. do NOT book to stay at this property. it is a scam "

"Just returned from a 3 night stay at Hazels House and I can definitely say we will be staying here again. The house was perfect for our family and pooch. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and was just like home from home. Had everything we needed for a perfect stay from coffee and tea bags and even dog treats etc. Loved the garden area just a shame we didn't have the weather to spend a lot of time to sit out there!... "Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall...
