"Water was leaking in two of the three rooms from the ceiling onto the beds and along the walls of the rooms. We were able to use only one of the three rooms. Our host informed us of the problem per e-mail at about 7PM but we were unaware of that message as we were driving. Upon late arrival at about 11:00PM we were informed of a leak in one of the rooms but soon discovered that water was dripping onto the bed in the second bedroom. "The George Hotel is a wonderful place and one that I will remember well. It's near to Hadrian's Wall and many other old Roman sites to explore. The George Hotel has a charm that countryside adventurers will love. Hikers from the wall come and go and share their stories. That bridge and the river provide a scene that you will remember. Although there is no lift, we found out that the room was easily accessible from the upper parking spaces. Staff was super friendly. The food was excellent and just what you would want after a long day exploring. Try the local beers! I definitely recommend."
