"The hotel was fascinating with its history on display through pictures, art, antiques and the quirkiness of a centuries old building. We enjoyed Sunday roast dinner and the full breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with local advice. Our room was a mixture of antique decorations and a very modern bathroom filled with amenities. It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside and our crazy experiences at the famous cheese roll. I highly recommend a stay!"

"Very much liked the Olde Worlde aspect of the hotel. Room and bed were comfortable. Hotel plumbing could benefit from an upgrade. The shower and bath were difficult to operate and the water was very slow running. However, water into the hand basin was fine. We felt the menu for evening meals wasn't very inspiring. The breakfast buffet was good and we were able to order gluten-free options including bread. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend."

"Arrived late at night,check in was great and easy to park outside.Received a phone call from hotel to say the motorway was being closed the evening we were arriving which we greatly appreciated.Room was clean if a little dated but was perfect for our overnight stop and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again."

"Tewkesbury Hotel has a great location with beautiful views, and there are a few nice trails nearby that you can access from the golf course. Breakfast was fantastic, but the main menu was a bit hit or miss. The bar was okay — good wine selection, including some great British wines, but it was a shame there weren’t any premium spirits. The room we ended up with was really nice, though we had some issues with the first one. Thankfully, the staff sorted it quickly and we were happy with how it was handled. The team there is professional and the place seems well run overall. The spa was decent — nothing special. The showers could’ve been cleaner, but the rest was alright."
