"The hotel is very good. The restaurant was excellent Room very nice etc etc etc…. However the swimming pool was a bit of a disaster for us. My wife slipped when walking down the steps into the pool. When we looked closer the reason is simple - and could simply have been avoided. The top step has anti slip vinyl attached - the descending steps also have anti slip vinyl BUT not across the whole step! So if you step down between the anti slip vinyl it is all too easy to slip and fall. My wife did this - although the ‘lifeguard’ did not even look up at the commotion. Too busy on his phone. Even when I called over sarcastically “don’t bother yourself” he didn’t, When we left the pool we went to reception to report this quite serious accident, the concern from receptionist was ZERO. AND THAT WAS THE SUM TOTAL OF THE STAFF CONCERN. So while the hotel itself is very good - I am very disappointed with the attitude of the staff mentioned. The manager can feel free to contact me about this should he decide it is serious enough to at least enquire about the welfare of his/her guests injured on their property. "
