Walk to the beach in minutes or sit on the back porch and watch the sunrise in this quaint, Kitty Hawk Cottage! You will be able to relax listening to the waves hit the sandy beach, while you sip on a cup of delicious, coffee. Few cars will pass as it is a quiet road in the HEART of beautiful Kitty Hawk between the beach and highway 158 (one block from the ocean!). If you're looking for fun, there are a number of famous restaurants/bars along the beach and main road within a two-mile radius.

Great location. Quick walking distance to the beach which has bathrooms and shower right at the entrance to avoid a sandy walk home. Walking distance to ice cream and Arts which has overall good food and great views. A quick drive is Moe's and Black Pelican. The house was perfect for what we needed. 2 boys and a pup. My kids were able to throw a football in the backyard while we the parents could hang out on the deck watch the kids and see some of the ocean. Would recommend!

Excellent Location on the Outer Banks

We were in a fantastic location with everything close to us, including a short walk/easy effort to get to the beach. The Luke Street access has probably the lowest dune to navigate with a heavy-duty mat to make walking and buggy pulling a breeze. There is a great restaurant and ice cream shop within walking distance. Parking under the house kept the car cool which was really nice. Porch was also great!

Oceanview

It’s not far from ocean but view is small. Quiet neighborhood and stores and restaurants close by. Very clean. A few supplies were low but we got them within a day or two. Bring your own supplies for young children. Free beach access and shower downstairs was great.

Great September Short Visit (4 day) to the OBX

Weather was rainy and windy on the day of our arrival but it was great not having the summer crowds. We arrived and the property was conveniently located between the hwy-bypass and the beach road. We were able to walk from the cottage to the beach in under 5 minutes. The kitchen, bathrooms and kitchen were fully functional and had everything we needed for our stay. We traveled to Pea Island Wildlife Refuge, Buxton Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Frisco and Corolla during our stay with little-no traffic. We enjoyed our short stay and hope to return.

Loved this Place!

First time visitors to OBX and this was the perfect location for our family. Loved the quick walk to the quiet beach, ice cream and restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable and the outdoor shower was a plus. We would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone! Thanks for a terrific summer vacation!!

Perfect location

Short walk to beach access. Hosts were great - we did run into a problem, and not only did they come over within 24 hours to fix it, they brought us warm donuts! Nothing bad to say at all. If you choose to rent here, you will be well taken care of.

85th birthday celebration at the beach

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, glassware. The coffee pot, toaster, hot water pot were in good working condition. There were plenty of towels. My only complaint and it is a small one, there was no toilet paper or paper towels. We had to get them the afternoon we arrived. We had a wonderful week. Easy walk to the beach, even for us old folks.

Cozy Cottage!

Went to celebrate my Birthday. We frequent the Outer Banks so found this place that was great for just 2 couples. Awesome spot to relax and unwind. Love the updating being done. Little suggestions would be coasters to protect tables, maybe a screen door and have tv instructions. We would definitely rent again! Only minor thing was someone had been under house smoking and left butts and cigarette packages on ground but that isn't the owners fault.

Relaxing and convenient loacation!

Our family really enjoyed staying at this cozy house within an easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed the porch and ocean breeze in the evenings very much, and the house is located within sight and sound of the ocean which was perfect. There was plenty of room to spread out, and we had everything we needed for a family of 4 with two small kids. It was really nice being close to the grocery store and restaurants. Our daughters loved the “mermaid bedroom”! One small recommendation would be for the door lock to be adjusted. It’s a very tight fit, and you have to pull pretty hard on the door while turning the latch mechanism to get it to open. Not being able to use one hand is a challenge if you have small kids or groceries, and my wife struggled with it even with both hands free. Other than that very minor issue, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay and would gladly rent here again. In fact, we look forward to doing just that!

Quiet & Convenient

This clean, convenient, sturdy property was perfect for a last-minute beach trip! With two working parents and two kids under four, "Little Blue" was great! Five minutes from the major stores, two blocks to the beach, and the inside was clean as a whistle when we got there (OK, the outside shower is...an outside shower, ha, but we used it every day!). "Little Blue" is much more spacious than it looks, and kept us safe and sound during a night and day of big storms. The sunrise AND moonrise views are spectacular, and we were even able to catch a meteor shower! It was safe and quiet--I'd be happy to come back any time, Blue!

Great Beach Cottage

Loved the location. Close beach access… walk half block down the street and a block up to the beach. There were port o potty’s and outdoor shower/foot wash right at the beach access with extra parking. We saw many dolphin from the beach. The sunrises from the front deck were AMAZING!! It was quiet and anything you need a quick drive away within a mile or two. I liked the central location of the outer banks so we could drive north or south for activities, sightseeing and shopping. The cherry on top was the bottle of wine dropped off from the owner from a local winery!!

Clean, cozy and charming

We were so impressed with the house upon arrival. It really looked great in person. Very charming with the old time feel of a true beach house, yet with a stylish flair. Most importantly the house was very clean. Would stay again. Wonderful location, just a quick 3-4 minute walk to the ocean.

Great location, peaceful neighborhood

We had a wonderful time, the host was amazing and had a nice little gift waiting when we arrived. The booking was super simple and everything was as advertised, perfect location - convenient to everything - very peaceful and you will love sitting out on the front porch in the cool mornings or evenings. Would gladly visit again, if available.

Higher expectations

Place was clean besides the stains on all the furniture. View was great, distance to the beach was great, furniture is worn out. The weirdest part was no soap or anything in the showers (for the price what’s a tiny hotel bar cost), also having to take the sheets and towels off the beds and placed outside downstairs is kinda different than other stays. There was no cable, which honestly wasn’t a huge deal but trying to watch a sporting event didn’t work out (maybe adjust the listing). Also you have 6 minutes to shower with hot water before the 10 gallon tank runs out, should be warned. Things like hairdryers/soap/ would be great if provided or clearly defined in the details (make sure you bring your own shower soap). The little things always make up for any bad things. I would not stay here again, especially if i was with more people.

Great place closet the beach!

Very nice clean property 2 block walk to the beach. The access code to the door had a typo in the VRBO app, and we didn't hear back from the owner for 30 minutes -- that was our only negative of this experience. After traveling 5 hours with small children and arriving at night, those were some very stressful 30 minutes. After that hiccup, the stay was fabulous. They had everything we needed for a great family time at the beach!
