Quiet, peaceful, close to secluded beaches, very helpful owner!
We absolutely loved our stay. We didn't meet Andreas, but we met his mother, Maria, who was just WONDERFUL! She was so welcoming, with homemade treats for us on arrival and always available should we have any questions or need any help. (We had her phone number so we could just text with any questions.)
The house is fully equipped with everything from towels to a washing machine to a fully equipped kitchen - we cooked several meals and had everything we needed. There are no shops nearby so I would recommend picking up everything you need in the port on arrival (walk in to the town and you will find several small supermarkets). Also recommend filling your car with petrol here as there aren't many petrol stations on the island.
The final part of the journey to the house is on uneven roads (I'm not sure I would even call them roads, actually!) and our little hire car wasn't really up to the job (it was quite scary and we ended up not going out in the dark because of it) so I would highly recommend hiring a 4x4 or something a bit more suitable than a basic small car!
The three beaches that are very close to the house are lovely - the sea was so calm that it was practically like going in a pool. Our favourite one was the one you can't quite see from the house - a 3min drive then a walk down to the beach. All of these beaches involve quite a steep walk though, so pack some sturdy shoes! We had the beach to ourselves each time we went.
We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. It's a lovely house, in a quiet location with a super helpful owner.
