Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando - Disney Springs Area

10/10 Excellent

"This was hands down the best stay I've ever experienced at a hotel! And for the price point- unreal! The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved having free breakfast and some snacks later on in the day. Drury Plaza helped make my birthday weekend memorable. I will always come back to this property!!"

"Overall, we had a decent stay. The pool area, lazy river, and waterslide were definitely the highlight and our kids had a great time. The resort itself was nice and had a fun family atmosphere. That being said, the biggest downside is that every person who stayed with us or even came to visit ended up getting sick afterward with the same cough/sore throat virus, which really put a damper on the trip. The room itself was okay, but the master bedroom bed was extremely hard and unbelievably loud. Every little movement made it squeak so badly it sounded like something out of a horror movie. We had our baby sleeping in a crib next to us and it constantly woke her up anytime we moved. Not a terrible stay overall, but definitely some things that need improvement."

"Overall, we had a good stay at this resort. The room was very clean, the price was great, and the location was excellent and convenient for everything we needed. The staff at check-in was fine, and overall the property has a lot of potential for families. However, the main reason I am giving 3 stars is because of our experience at the pool and the lack of supervision and control around the property. There were many children and families at the pool, yet no staff member seemed to be monitoring the environment. A couple appeared to be intoxicated, acting loudly and inappropriately in front of children, making many families visibly uncomfortable. At one point, the woman was walking around the pool area carrying a bottle of tequila, while the man was interacting and playing with children he did not know, which understandably made several parents uncomfortable and caused many families to leave the pool area with their kids. Unfortunately, no staff member stepped in or seemed present to supervise the situation. Another major concern was the strong smell of marijuana throughout the property. Although smoking policies appear to exist, there seemed to be little enforcement. Hallways, outdoor areas, and common spaces frequently smelled strongly of marijuana. For a resort with many families and children, this created an uncomfortable environment. This resort has great pricing, clean rooms, and a good location, but better supervision, stronger enforcement of property rules."

"Great & helpful staff! We enjoyed the onsite starbucks, restaurant, & icecream shop. We did not get to use the pool or the other amenities offered because we were busy with an event, but there were plenty of great options available for those interested. Great price & convenient location for visiting ESPN & Disney. The hotel was definitely a little dated & had a musty odor, but it was not that big of a deal. Great food & service!"
