"This is the second time we have stayed as my sister lives nearby. Spotlessly clean again and the hosts were there to check us in early. Gunter and Ulrika are so kind to our children, letting them play with toys in their house and garden. Nice touches are added like wine on arrival and snacks and chocolate for the kids. "The property is well located and modern. However as the former guests had vacated the apartment several days earlier the building’s heating system was turned off, and only turned back on once we checked in. As the apartment is on the ground floor and a large portion is below ground in this lovely old building the apartment never really warmed up. Combined with warm Autumn days and cold nights the heating shut down during the day and never reached a comfortable temperature in the evenings. A...

"Ruim en schoon appartement aan de rand van Idar Oberstein. Ondanks dat het aan een doorgaande weg ligt, heb je daar niet veel last van. Prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Ik miste alleen een informatie map met nuttige info over afval, belangrijke telefoonnummers, toeristische bezienswaardigheden etc."

The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts.
