"Breakfasts were amazing Staff very friendly Loved the look of the hotel inside Rooms and bathrooms were lovely If you are a senior avoid top floor as there is a lot of stairs, no lift"

"I stayed for one night before a wedding nearby. I had a warm welcome and the room was lovely! Spotless and modern with a view over the street. Secondary glazing meant I heard nothing and slept for 9 hours! The bathroom was brand new by the looks of things too. The Eggs Benedict was lovely too. I’d definitely stay again when I’m back down this way. "

"We found the cottage to be a very interesting design of the outwardly past century and inwardly modern. Victor and Carina have made the cottage a cosy place to land. The area was so delightful. We walked along tracks that took us to bubbling steams. So much flora and sunshine. Easily went on the train to Edinburgh a couple of times. "

"Staff were so friendly and helpful. Castle grounds were nice. Castle itself was nice as well. There is currently scaffolding covering one side. There was a wedding there so we couldn't go into the library cuz it was reserved for them. "
