"The lovely Mary made us very welcome at check-in even though we arrived early the room was available and was lovely and clean and bright. Big room with a large bed and all the top quality facilities you need. We didnt eat in the Hotel that night but breakfast the next day was excellent. Great hotel in ideal location. Would recommmend"

"Booked this last minute for an overnight stay. Check in was very straightforward and property very clean. We arrived quite late after a day out in York, the pub was quite lively and popular on a Saturday night looked like a nice atmosphere. Room very clean and well appointed. Some noise from downstairs such as doors banging and voices but not excessive and once it was closing time was silent. Shower was hot and steady for both us in the morning and the breakfast cooked to order was excellent with plenty of options. My only small criticism was that it would be nice if they provided conditioner alongside the shampoo shower gel and hand cream in the bathroom, and the mattress was a bit like a bouncy castle which took some getting used to. It would also maybe be a suggestion during the change of seasons to provide a bed throw as the radiator didn’t seem to be on much even when turned up and it was a little chilly overnight at times. Otherwise a great stay and we’d probably book again if visiting family again in the area"

"Room spotlessly clean. Entire Hotel spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Staff very friendly and welcoming, extremely professional. Outdoor pool well kept, very clean. Sauna and outdoor garden areas very well maintained. Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely come back again."

"Room was clean and tidy, good amenities especially with the small fridge in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast had a good choice and served very quickly. Ample parking at the rear of the building. Good choice of evening meal, only sorry we weren't there on Sunday for the carvery. Great location in a beautiful small village. Would recommend and stay again."

"Although dated and in need of modernisation, this place was clean with everything you need. Checking in and accessing the room key was quick and easy. The room was large, bathroom was clean, bedding was clean. Tv worked. plenty of hot water."
