"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. The restaurant manager Shona was very attentive though I have to say. The pool and gym were nice and the cocktail bar was very good and the two Greek bar staff were super. The bar was quite dirty and dusty everywhere. "

"How perfect can a stay possibly be! The lobby is beautiful, much as the warmth of the welcome. The rooms are well appointed and beds so very comfortable. I chose to dine in and used the gym - both their own reward. I'll be back."

"We booked this property last minute. From the moment we arrived and met Deirdre, I had a feeling we were going to enjoy our stay. Deirdre is very warm and welcoming. We stayed in Applewood cottage. It is a beautifully appointed cottage, I couldn't fault it in anyway. It was clean, beautifully decorated and with a very comfortable bed. We talk some time to walk the grounds of the property, it was lovely to be in a rural setting. I highly recommend this property as place to stay. Looking forward to returning again."

"It really ticked all the boxes for our 3 day stay. I must say that the breakfast was the freshest and best we have experienced in other hotels we have rated as very good. We also enjoyed the bar menus on each of our three evenings in the Old Bar (part of the hotel provision)."

"A hotel with history, character and friendly staff. The town is easily walkable from The Castle Arch. Trim and it's castle are well worth a visit and the Castle Arch was the perfect place to stay. "

"The most wonderful stay - the property was absolutely spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed, extremely well equipped and fantastic bits (tea,coffee etc) to get you started. Quiet friendly village with fantastic local shop and The Weir is fantastic for a drink and food. Pat and Una are both fantastic hosts, the best property we have ever stayed in.
