Columba House

"Because I've brought my bike with me, I was glad to be allowed to take it to the room. Sadly no breakfast available due to renovation of the property. Self service with key storage was very useful! I admire that a friendly cat is at your service (if you wish). 😻 Nice hotel in scottish style, quiet and only 5min walk to the center of Kingussie, where there is a coop, a nice café and several restaurants. I'd liked to stay at the Columba House and recommend it especially for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling."

"We stayed for 2 nights and the reception staff were ecellent, friendly and a real credit to the hotel. The room was clean with comfortable beds and convenient parking even when busy A couple of areas for review though as constructive feedback: - the door to the bathroom had a dent in it, like someone had kicked it - the large shower head really could do with a deep clean as the nozzles are back - the sink had a plug on a chain, but there was novent to prevent accidentaly drops in the sink, if you dropped anything, it was lost and joined the lump of soap down there out of reach - the rooms have incredally thin walls, so you can hear whats going on either side, in the hallway, upstairs when they were tap dancing late into the night - it's a shame that smokers are encouraged to gather at the rear door, because they were noisy as it's right outside the room The plus side the flooring was clean and was nice in the bathroom and the beds were really nice Next time the rooms are renovated, please consider additional insulation between the rooms and in the ceiling"

"This is a fairly new property and this is reflected in the modern decor, and clean & smart set up. No staff on site but arrangements communicated beforehand in terms of property access and room key collection were faultless. Parking on site so no issues with proximity. We did not have breakfast (book and pay separately if required). River runs behind the property so soothing sound of running (nay rushing) water throughout. Only issue was the green light (fire regs ?) meant the room was not dark at night (recommend you take an eye mask as my wife did)"

"A top place to stay as far as we're concerned. The staff were amazing and were attentive. Food was great and even though the chef was unable to attend for breakfast, the staff pulled together an amazing breakfast for us. We were on the second floor with a couple of suitcases so the stairs were an issue but nothing insurmountable and ended up being a part of great memories about the place. All in all, a place that we will stay at again if we can."
