Port Royal

Port Royal beckons with tales of its swashbuckling past as Jamaica's infamous pirate haven. This historic peninsula juts into Kingston Harbour, where weathered Fort Charles stands guard over centuries-old streets. Colonial buildings and maritime treasures tell stories of the "wickedest city on Earth" before the 1692 earthquake. Today's visitors can explore the Maritime Museum's artifacts or admire St. Peter's Church's resilient architecture. Local fishermen maintain traditional practices along the waterfront where seafood restaurants serve fresh catches. The tilting Giddy House and harbor views provide perfect backdrops for discovering this authentic slice of Caribbean history.

S Hotel Kingston

S Hotel Kingston

10/10 Excellent
"The staff members were always helpful, pleasant, and welcoming. There was consistently someone available at the concierge desk to provide assistance, which was especially helpful when we needed support during the later hours. Parking was always smooth and convenient, with plenty of available spaces throughout our stay. The cabana pool was definitely one of the highlights of our experience. We lounged by the pool and watched the sun go down, and the ambiance became even more beautiful as the sky darkened and the pool and surrounding lights came on. We got the King Deluxe room which provided enough space for our two suitcases, carry-ons and backpacks, without the room feeling cramped. The towels provided were pristine, the bedding was good and furniture up to date. The breakfast was included in our cost, which had a rotation of local food: stew chicken/fish, curry chicken, traditional porridges and sides (+more), as well as American breakfast options. S Hotel provides a safe and comfortable environment, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Its central location is also a major advantage, with easy access to food, entertainment, and business areas. Overall, we had a great experience at S Hotel and would definitely stay here again."

"Great getaway for a relaxing stay high up in the mountains. Great cottages, well appointed with antiques and all necessary amenities. Amazing views of Kingston and the Blue Mountains. Excellent restaurant and bar. Welcoming and professional staff. It is not a difficult drive, but do not follow Waze - which takes you off the B1 and guides you through a shortcut that is clearly not meant for regular driving and rather dangerous."
