We were disappointed with the standard of the room, it was basic and more like a room in some large franchise which catered for one night stays. Staff were courteous without being inviting and happy to have our custom. We did get a room that was appropriate for our needs, with a wet room and all the grab rails for support in the bathroom. The heated towel rail was turned off and we could not turn it on. As a last minute booking we were a little underwhelmed.

Really enjoyed our last minute 2 night break. Staff all genuinely nice and happy to help. Nice spa experience, unfortunately fully booked so couldnt get any treatments. Sign of good spa being fully booked also bank holiday weekend and hotel had a wedding so not surprised really. Had afternoon tea which was delightful. Would recommend this hotel for a break away.

Beautiful hotel in the country. Our room overlooked a field and we saw deer and rabbits often which was great. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is beautiful and traditional. The spa was nice. The pool was also nice. Some areas could use a bit of updating but it’s all part of the charm! Highly recommend for a great hotel and good value.
