"This is really a great place to explore the town and the nearby places. Good parking, helpful staff, loads of choice for breakfast and the rooms are ideal and spotlessly clean. What more could you ask for?"

The Angus Hotel & Spa by Compass Hospitality

"We had a lovely overnight stay at the Angus Hotel. Great value for money, with friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to book your swimming slot in advance, as the pool gets very busy. The restaurant closes between 5-6pm, so we missed the chance to eat there, but the chippy across the road was excellent. As it’s an older building, the floors can be quite creaky, but overall we really enjoyed our stay."

"Lovely stay. Rooms are being upgraded next year, so we will return to see them then, but they were ok. Food at breakfast was nice and fresh. The view from the diningroom across the Loch was beautiful but the epicormic growth needs addressing for future visitors. Some trees at the front entrance, also need attention as they're a health and safety hazard. Looking forward to returning sometime next year"

"We were given a room in the lower part which was pretty dark with two little windows, it was a bit gloomy. The bath saved the room, it’s the biggest bath we’ve ever used, was lovely at the end of the day. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, food was very good and as were the staff. Pool was nice but certainly not a pool designed for doing actual swimming, you had to dodge round people to get across to swim on “length” . Never got to try the hot tub due to the same people hogging it for the whole time we were there. Overall a nice stay, would request not to be in the lower part if we came again as it was dark."
