"Big, clean and well-furnished room with a beautiful view of the city, with the sea in the background. Only 5-10 minutes or so by cab from the CBD, and 15 mins to Flinders Station by tram - the stop is less than a minute's walk away. It was very handy to have a kitchenette in the room. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, reasonably priced with friendly staff. I stayed in three hotels in Melbourne, and this one was my favourite, even though it's not directly in the CBD. "

"A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was good size and appointed well. The restaurant onsite is closed but we found good choices nearby (highly recommend Angus & Bon). The location seems a bit far from downtown, but you can catch the train nearby and it's a quick and inexpensive ride back and forth. We liked the hotel, but if we returned we would probably stay closer to downtown."
