Chase endless summer days at GaGa's Getaway (Formerly DreamCatcher), a comfy, dog-friendly, beachy retreat on the soundside in Kill Devil Hills. Modern conveniences with a functional layout provide the perfect retreat for your OBX vacation. The great room with vaulted ceilings is bright and cheerful with a colorful beach vibe and features a comfortable sofa and 2 easy chairs and a flatscreen TV. The dining area seats 4 comfortably with two additional seats at the kitchen island. The open kitchen features stainless appliances and is well-equipped to make mealtime a breeze. The den on the lower level is perfect for the kids to have their own spot to watch their favorite shows or movies.
Step outside to the thoughtfully landscaped backyard retreat with plenty of seating and a firepit that will be perfect for roasting marshmallows and making smores. Grill out and dine al fresco with seating and two picnic tables under the house.

Exploring the area: GaGa's Getaway is centrally located between the soundside and the ocean. Helga Street public beach access is just a short walk but no parking is available there. If you want to enjoy the soundside it is just a short walk to the west where you can enjoy some great walking and biking trails and the most amazing sunsets. GaGa's Getaway is in a prime central location which means you can enjoy the sights, activities, dining options, and shops the OBX has to offer.

Beach Access: Conveniently located close to the beach. Head east out of the home to the stoplight at the end of West Helga Street. Continue one block to the Helga Street Beach Access, or drive to the parking lot located at Hayman Boulevard, just a few streets south on Route 12.

If you are unable to enjoy a full week GaGa's Getaway allows you to book a 3-night minimum stay anytime.

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.

Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

We have been going to the OBX for several years now and stayed at different homes. This home was very spacious and very clean. It was easy to find and close to grocery stores. It was a perfect place to rest and relax. We had one issue and they sent out a maintenance worker out quickly and solved the issue. We would stay here agai.

It is a perfect house for 4-6 people. The neighborhood is very calm, close to the beach and the ocean with an astonishing sunset some steps from house. The house manager was very kindly and answered all my questions very fast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The only downfall was walking across Croatian Highway. We were very glad to have a street that had a pedestrian crossing button. Otherwise we would not have been able to walk. Neighborhood was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The home was cozy and comfortable for 3 days at the beach. Only complaint was we couldn’t use the water from the fridge- filter was red and needed to be changed. We couldn’t grill- wasn’t working.

From the booking process to checking out at the end of our stay I am happy to say that we were completely happy and satisfied with our experience. The house was as advertised, incredibly clean, and fully functional with regard to amenities such as kitchen, laundry, and etc. The location of the property was great- nice quiet neighborhood on the sound side great for walking the dogs or bike riding. The property was in the heart of town (MP 5-6) so everything seemed very convenient. We’ll absolutely return on our next vacation to OBX.

Very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows (thank you for not using down pillows which squish down to nothing), well outfitted kitchen (only thing was the knives were not sharp), it's a short drive to beach or sound (can also walk), comfortable and well decorated home. Large TVs in all bedrooms and living room, wifi, cable and streaming available. Close to restaurants, grocery stores and things to do. Our large dog had plenty of room and he enjoyed the mostly fenced back yard.

We booked this property super last minute and lucked out. The house was beautiful and very clean. Walking distance to the beach and sound and a few restaurants/coffee shops, though not in the middle of all the KDH hot spots. Our door code didn’t work on arrival but it was easily fixed. Also the ignition on the grill was broken but we were able to find a way to get it lit after some searching and problem solving. Overall it was a great property and we would be happy to book it again!

Properly was decent in size for a family of 6 with a respectable neighborhood. The appliances are new and proper size bedrooms and enjoyed the Roku setup TVs. The support from the property management team was awesome. I highly recommend this property for a decent size family
