"The Aybek is a fairly new hotel only opened for a year everything is in beautiful shape. The location is great on a little side street so very quiet. Our room was on the side facing the river and ocean got to watch the fishermen come and go. The location is very good to walk down the main pedestrian street to the harbour where you can find lots of good restaurants The staff at the Aybek are super nice and friendly and will help you any way they can. This place is a little gem highly recommended...

"Charming hotel right near the water. It’s the oldest hotel in Canakkale, but by the French during the Ottoman rule. Incredible customer service. I asked so many questions and they helped me with everything. There was some street noise at night, but that’s probably everywhere"

"Good value budget accommodation. Reasonable location, close to the dolmus for Troy and a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry port for the Gallipoli peninsula. Room had a fridge and kettle and air conditioning. Rather dimly lit, otherwise fine. Breakfast was continental style with not much choice, but plenty to eat. Staff were pleasant."

"Did a Gallipoli tour and caught the ferry over to Cannakale for a 1 night stay. Just needed a simple clean hotel for the night in easy walking distance from the ferry. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and helped us park our car. Had a light breakfast offering - nothing fancy, but adequate. Then headed to Troy. I was very pleased with the hotel and the price. "

"I had no problem checking in very late at night and there's plenty of free street parking around. None of the staff spoke much English, but they were keen to help, which is all you need. The accommodation is rather basic, but this is what you pay for with the price being as low as it is, so please manage your expectation in advance. The bed was ok and the shower worked, the room was quiet, hence 5* from me. The breakfast was ok too, although we didnt get the omelette as none of us spoke Turkish...
